How to access FP+ with MVMCP party tickets only

Hi All,

I did a search but couldn't find the answer to my specific question, which is:

We have tickets to MVMCP. I have gone into MDE and made reservations for FP+ from 4-6:30. My question is, how do we demonstrate that we have these FP+ if we don't have Magic Bands??

We have not been to Disney since the new FP system and Magic Bands have been implemented. We don't have any other tickets and are going just for the party. I selected "print at home" when I purchased the party tickets.

Thanks in advance!

P.S. What are the chances of 7DMT fastpasses opening up in the next 3 weeks? Is it futile for me to keep checking?

In regards to getting the SDMT FPs, don't give up if you really want them. I have a party of 8 and have managed to snag 5 at overlapping times so far, but that is on a regular park day on Dec 6 so I had more time slots to work with. There weren't any available when we booked FP at 30 days out but they do pop up every once in a while. I find them most often overnight, like at 3 am (up with baby!). I have also been looking for them during the 4-7 slot on Dec 8 and so far have not found any.

You might consider just riding it during the party. I have been watching the MDE app and have seen waits as low as 25 minutes. People at the parties have reported relatively short lines for it all throughout the night. Peter Pan and ETWB have waits during the party too, but almost everything else looks like a walk on.

You will have to exchange the paper tickets for a plastic card type ticket in order to access FP+. The hard tickets have the RFID tag that is needed to operate the FP+ tapstiles.

Are we allowed to make FP+ reservations with only a party ticket? I hadn't realized that was a possibility?

Yes. Just make sure they fall between 4:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. So really you can only fit two in most likely. After I purchased my tix I was able to choose another day's FPs in MDE.

Actually, you can book THREE FP+ if you are careful: Which mathematically means you need to book the first FP+ with a return time that starts as early as between 3:15pm and 3:30pm (end-time as early as 4:15pm-4:30pm.)
Then the next two FP+ in the immediate next two hours (3rd FP+ with an end-time of no later than 6:30pm.)

Typical example:
FP+ 1 - Return 3:30-4:30PM (You can enter the park about 4PM, and head directly to your first FP+)
FP+ 2 - Return 4:30-5:30PM
FP+ 3 - Return 5:30-6:30PM

You can fit 3 if you start your first window before 4:00. I have used a 3:20 to 4:20 as my first and then 4:20 to 5:20 and 5:20 to 6:20 with no problems. Just make sure you are at the gate at 4 to make the first one.

I thought I saw that people were being notified that any FP+ beginning before 4:00 were going to be cancelled. Did that turn out to be untrue?

I seems that it was one person who had a very specific issue with DME (I think she had 2 accounts,) but then people freaked out and overreacted.

Thanks everyone for your input!

So, if I had asked for the tickets to be mailed to me instead of print at home, would those tickets have had the RFID capability?

Yes.
But, it will be very easy to stop by any ticket booth or Guest Relations and pick up a plastic party ticket.

Outside any park, or at TTC, or at two locations at DTD/DS.
