I am working on my sons boy scout scrapbook that I need to finish before he becomes and eagle scout. How thick is too thick for a scrapbook? How many pages do most of you do in a book? How many extenders do you use?

Can anyone show me pictures of your biggest book?

I use mostly CM albums, and I have some of them filled up to 45-50 pages.

I will have to see how many are in my latest album. its about 6 inches thick. :)

I'm changing to 3 ring albums since mine aren't holding up (was using the 1in extenders)

I use both post's and 3 rings....I try not to make my posts more than a couple inches thick, use extenders and the filler strips.
I perfer to use 3 ring for large albums like my WDW trips to keep the albums down to a minimum if I can :lmao:

these are my completed albums

Mine are mostly CM albums approx 50 pages/100 sides each. I also have several 3 ring binder albums with about the same number of pages. I think they get too heavy with more pages than that.

i like to keep mine small enough that they are easy to carry and look through. My thickest book is maybe 3-4 inches thick. My kids love to look through them and the thick ones get heavy and awkward. I did find some of the binders that are used for stickers and stuff that have a zipper around the whole binder. Those work nice for miscellaneous scrapbooks if you don't mind the cover of the binder not matching your theme. Plus they have a handle and a carrying strap. The ones I got were used and were like $5 plus they still had some of the sticker organizer pages in them. Check ebay.

I use CM albums with max 2 packs of pages (so 30 pages/60 sides). But I find if I have too much "bulk" I have to shed a few pages, to maybe a pack and a half. I do have a couple of the older albums which have 2 1/2-3 packs in, but that's when I only used CM stuff so the pages only had photos and a couple of stickers or strips of paper on them:rolleyes:
