I booked the package through DU. The $299 price bumped our cruise price just over the next tier so that instead of getting a $100 rebate we got $150  , unexpected bonus. Tammy at Dreams, put in my requests and everything was met. I recieved my dining rotation choice of PLA. Our couples massage appointment was booked and ressies at Palo for brunch, dinner and tea were made. This helped me to relax and enjoy my cruise more, that is for sure!

For our first night, we discovered our table number was 67 - great location!! In the center of everything. If I looked carefully, I could spot Kathy a fellow Diser :wave2: . I don't know if we got this great table location because of how far in advance we booked our cruise, because of the Romance package or because of luck.

Couple's well-being massage was our first treat of the package, 2pm Sunday. Wonderful and they said we could relax in the Rain Forest room on our way out. No trying to sell products, of course we had checked everything no on our sheet ;) . Next up was Brunch at 10:30 am Monday. We were seated by the window and everything was delicious. Wed was our Palo night with turndown service. Our ressie was for 6:30pm and we were not sat by a window but no a big deal as you could still see the view and the sun went down quickly. Our server was fantastic and I ordered everything mushroom, yummy! Souffle was good, but rich, I couldn't finish it but ate every bite of the gelatto - double yum! This meal took forever (in a good way) and we hopped into the elevator in a very good mood ;) . Tripped off to our room expecting to find rose petals and found.........a MONKEY! Adorable monkey with lei around his neck, kids' minnie and mickey were climbing the ladder to bed, they must have forgotton the romance. Ah well, the kids will like this. We call to ask for romantic turndown for next night. Had Palo Tea on Thurs afternoon. It was nice atmoshpere and I enjoyed my sandwiches and eclair. The scones were good and warm but the clotted cream didn't taste as we are used to from England. The strainers had larger holes which allowed tea leaves through (they use a fine mesh strainer at Harrod's High Tea for instance) I laughed that we could now tell one another's fortunes in the tea leaves. Nice to do once, don't know that I would make it a priority again. Didn't get romantic turndown on Thurs. night as we turned in early and the ship was rocking. We got it Friday night and we had the kids with us so we took pictures, kids played with the swans and DD picked up all of the rose petals (she wants to be a flower girl). Our basket was waiting on our bed when we got on the ship Sat. We never did drink the champagne, brought it home, I like the photo album and we all snacked on the chocolates (they aren't that good, actually). We ordered our champagne breakfast for Friday morning, to enjoy on verhandah while looking at CC. We chose sparkling cider and orange juice to drink, plenty of food for 4.

I thought the package was worth it. I'm glad we booked it and thank-you Dreams Unlimited for making it so easy.

OK so U only paid $250.00 for the package... Almost sound like it would be worth it not to have to deal with All the other Stuff.....

I Mean if u are going to go to the Spa anyways ... and probably spend a hundred bucks... then why not ....

Glad u had a great time...

I didn't realize that you could book your brunch ahead of time; I thought it was only your dinner. That makes a difference! I would love to not have to stand in any lines once we board the ship!

That sounds wonderful! I didn't know that you could book it thru Dreams!

Sounds worth it to me - How far in advance did you book the "Romantic" package? Did you have to wait till the 60 day mark?

I also didn't know that you could book through Dreams. Did you give Dreams all your requests and they handled everything on your behalf or did you have to call Disney yourself?

Sorry, just read your post again and see that Dreams did it for you.

Is the $10 per person charge at Palo included in $299 package, Or does that charge show up on your stateroom bill?

What I have read in the past concerning this package indicates that the $10 per person cost for dinner at Palo is included, but the cost of the brunch is not included.

Yes, and on the 7day you can also book High Tea thru this package in advance too. We're going for it on the 10 day.

And yes, Dreams can handle all resservations for you.

Hi all,

We just did this on the 3/20 cruise as well. The cost of Palo dinner is included and although the brunch and tea are not part of the package, they were allowing us to book this in advance as a courtesy. The package was well worth it IMHO. LOVED not having to scramble for ressies, would have done those things any way and the basket, champagne and rose petal turn down were all great!

Wow! Thanks for posting. This sounds great to a compulsive planner like me. Having the Spa & Palo prebooked alone would be worth the money to me. ;)
How long was the couples massage? Ive been trying to find some info on that but I cant anywhere.

Thanks for making things clearer, Laurie :wave2: .

Massage lasted for 50 min. Tables were side by side and covered with sarongs. I didn't think it was cramped. Low lighting, peaceful. I loved the oil they used.

How long does dinner at Palo usually last? No, I don't really want to rush, but we have 8:30 seating for regular rotation and still want to do our first night at AP w/DD. We're booking the romance at sea, and I'm hoping to book the earliest Palo dinner for Monday at Sea. I believe Palo opens at 6:30. Is there enough time?

Yes, and you can choose between the Spa Taster and the Well Being massage...but you both have to do the same one.

I know it's the "romance" pkg. but, my DH doesn't want the massage or spa taster. Anybody know if I could get two treatments instead of us each getting one??

Yes, just tell them (DCL) that is how you want to book it. You are paying for two regardless!!

Did DU make your reservations for you or did DCL call you directly regarding your spa, dinner, etc. reservations?

Tammy at DU, had me email her my requests about 45 days prior. She got back to me in a few days saying everything had been met (my massage time was different by only an half hour which was fine). I like to do things myself but Tammy did a great job. I loved having our massages on the first sea day, what a way to start the cruise!

On the Palo question, there are 6:00 seatings available; I think that's the earliest. I would go for that time, because they intentionally take you through the meal at a slow pace and 2 hours is not too long as an estimate.
