Ahhh the night started brilliantly, we left our house in Blackpool very excited for the night ahead.....

We were off to see the OnE THE ONLY PETER KAY!!!! :lmao:

So we parked the car in a secure car park near the MEN ARENA, on Queen street and headed towards the arena.....

Watched THE funnest stand up show I have ever seen in my life.....:rotfl:

Left the M.E.N. Arena.....only to return to the car park and I sort of noticed a box next to my car that was in my boot....and thought....Ohhhh No! :sad2:

As i got closer I could see...My back window was missing! Jeeeeeeeeez! The car next to me had also been done and another car on the car park! Blooooody idiots!

So i checked the car to see what had been taken......and they had taken absolutley nothing!!!!! The Sat nav and work phone were still in the glove compartment, but they had routed round the boot and obviously found nothing! ( except an Arsenal shirt which they left! :confused3 )

So.....instead of being tucked into my bed for half 11....I was sat on a darkended car park waiting for the Greater Manchester Police to turn up so I could get a crime number.........ONE AM! they turn up.........by this time I couldnt care less about my window, I just wanted to get on the drive home!

So thanks to some Mancunian Scallies.....I now have to pay £75 excess on my insurance for a new window....! But the comedy of Mr Kay was genius! haha :worship:

Bleedin toerags  I've had it done to me before mate, and it sucks. The fact that it is so easy for them to do, but it causes so much hassle and money to pay out is so annoying.
I'm glad that you still enjoyed yourself despite this. We have tickets to see Peter next year at the Echo Arena, and we're also seeing John Bishop there tomorrow night. Glad to get a good review in advance! :thumbsup2

So sorry to hear this. Awful when you think they were clearly targeting the boot area. We always clear whats "on-show" and put it in the boot when we leave the car, clearly I need to wise-up!

Glad you enjoyed Peter Kay:thumbsup2

I'm sorry this happened to you. There are definitely some idiots in Manchester city centre (well, there are idiots everywhere really). How thick are they, though?! Fancy not looking in the glove compartment, especially after smashing the window etc.

Oh no such a shame and time consuming and hassle to get it sorted out. Glad you enjoyed Peter though.

what a shame, glad you enjoyed Peter Kay

Hey Jordan, Sorry that happened to you.

Did you go last night??? I've just got back....we stayed overnight in a hotel as it was a 4 hour journey each way for us.

I totally agree, best stand up I have ever seen! :worship: I ache today from laughing so much. :rotfl2:

What a pain in the butt! Stupid sods.

Sorry to hear what happened to you:hug:, I would have left the Arsenal shirt too;)

What a terrible end to a great night. But at least it doesn't sound as though you wil let it totally ruin your evening.
Can't for the life of me imagine why they would leave an Arsenal shirt :rolleyes1

How awful. It really annoys me when things like this happen. More secure car parks are needed for these types of venues.

I am a big fan of John Bishop - we've seen him a few times and he is excellent live. I would like to see Peter Kay but I prefer small gigs rather then arenas. I went to see French and Saunders at the NIA years ago and there was no atmosphere. Or jokes.;)

oh comeon kenny, shows they had no intelligence, anyone with an IQ would have taken the shirt, only team worth supporting:laughing:

seriously sorry this happened to you, there are some real scum bags out there

I saw Peter Kay last night and was worried about the big arena thing too.....but it was hands down the best stand up I have ever seen. I don't want to give anything away but the big arena actually add's to the experience. Definately go if you can get tickets. ::yes:: :thumbsup2

I am tempted as I love Peter Kay. Sorry..I'm way off topic here.;)

Yeah went last night, it was really good, we felt abit sorry for Rick Astley *** he was gettin nothin for the first few songs, but then the crowd got into him! Peter Kay was brilliant though! £35 well spent.

Its a shame what happened after, driving 50 miles back to Blackpool at 2am with no window was strange! The window is being replaced in the morning, £75 excess on my insurance so thats me staying in this weekend! :rolleyes1

As I said to the Policeman (who were 'great' help ) its not the end of the world and he couldnt figure out how i was joking about what had happened, but as I said sometimes youve just gotta laugh and not let these things ruin your night!

Although I wasnt happy that the Copper had 2 penguin biscuits in his car and wouldnt let me have one! Tight a*se!
