How suggestive is Pink Panther?

My two DS's are going to see it with my dad today. No problem you say? Well, my Dad is a minister. He loved the old Pink Panther movies but I am a bit worried about him seeing this one with my kids. Will they all be mortified? The boys are old enough (16 & 13) but will they die of embarrassment from seeing "certain things" with their dear old grand-dad?

I love the original Pink Panther movies (I remember a lot more suggestive humor in the originals) - they were a tradition to watch with my father at about my kids' ages - I took my ds11 and dd8 to see the remake - It was cute - lots of slapstick comedy that kept the kids in stitches.

There were a few suggestive scenes that the Chief inspector walks in on - but, it's obvious to viewers that the scene is not what it seems...plus a few suggestive remarks

You might want to check out www.pluggedinonline.com Focus on the Family's website for movies - they usually do a good job of categorizing the various elements in the film so we can make a decision of what we think is best for our kids... or us - forgot your sons are older...I don't think they'll be embarrassed sitting next to Grandpa....

Thanks! I was just nervous after hearing a few people's coments, but I guess they're all big boys and can handle it ;)

Generally, the embarassment works the other way: The adult embarassed from seeing "certain things" with their children/grandchildren. The children typically either totally miss the point (it goes over their head), or don't really care as much as the adult does.

Of course, that changes as the children get older... by the time the parents are "okay" with that sort of thing, the children are the ones that suffer from the embarassment! :)

ITA, this is a great website.

Also ITA, i don't think they'll be embarrassed.

Just to let you know, they are back and no one was embarressed. They also didn't think it was that great, but that's a whole other topic ;)
