the reason i ask is i have a 6,4,2, and a new 0 baby...

which will put me over the number per room for the studios and one bedroom vaction homes....

now i know once the kids get older i will need the 8 person a room but right now i just don't need it

..... i just wasn't sure how strict they where..

i know at the resorts, AKL,WL,All-stars they are not very strict...

is checking in to a DVC the same as checking into a resort?

just curious do you get mousekeeping at the DVC?

thanks for all the help

do you get mousekeeping at the DVC?

You get what is called trash and towel service on day 4 of your stay and a full cleaning on day 8. If you want daily service, you can pay extra for it.

Regarding room limits, that has been a topic that usually gets locked out on this board because it has caused much heated debate in the past. This post isn't going to be around for long for that reason.

If it's just you and the four kids, you're fine. The baby won't count against occupancy rules until he/she is older than 3. DVC provides a pack-n-play crib. The usual answer one of the webmasters will give is this: DVC will not provide extra bedding or supplies for more than the stated occupancy, but they also will not do a head-count in your room.

Regardless of DVC occupancy limits, you will have trouble finding room if its 2 adults and 4 kids. The studios have a queen bed and a sofa sleeper. by the time you set up the pack and play for the newborn, where will you put the extra child? Not much room when the sofa bed is open.

As someone else said, with the ages of the kids you are still fine with the occupancy limits, but I would definitely NOT go with a studio. Go with a 1 BR and my advice would be a 1 br at OKW because of the size difference. In a 1 BR at OKW you will have plenty of room to set up the pack and play and for all the kids to sleep in the living room. You can put the baby in the crib, the two oldest on the sleeper sofa and the 2 yo on the love seat, or even all 3 on the sleeper sofa, it is a queen size and they are pretty small kids. Even with the sofa bed unfolded you will still have loads of room in the dr & kitchen areas.

As already mentioned, stated occupancy limits for Studio and 1BR villas at all DVC resorts is four plus a child under the age of three. The resort won't provide extra linens and supplies, but won't likely do a room check either.

We have a long standing policy of only allowing discussion about occupancy limits on the Debate Board.
