How strict is Disney

I normally won't even drink pop at the parks. I just feel like having water after walking so much. Both DH and I bring our own water bottle because we get so thirsty.
We are taking our niece for her first trip in February and I bought her a Mickey water bottle to take with along with her own drawstring bag. I could see her making her mom carry the bag or the water bottle lol, but I was hoping she would get some use out of them.

That’s all perfectly fine. My bag consists of wallet, a stainless steel bottle, phone, external battery, hand sanitizer, chapstick, ziplock bags, and sweatshirt. Maybe my refillable popcorn bucket too.

I'll add ponchos, the cheap throw away kind. Super small before you open them, just toss when the storm passes, more in room to refill in bag for next day.

And Sunscreen, a must.

You’re right! I totally forgot the $1 poncho. I have about 6. Lol

Most prohibited items are just common sense (real/fake/toy weapons, alcohol, etc.) The slightly less obvious items are rolling bags, hard coolers, extra large strollers, and selfie sticks. Disney has a list on the website. They’re really not that strict. Every prohibited item on the list is there for a good reason. Unlike some zoos/theme parks, they don’t even limit food, as long as the bag isn’t too big.

Or, if she's like my kid, cute water bottle and bag would be left at the first gift shop, ride, show or bathroom we stop at. :sad2: Good luck!

Lol I could see that happening. I’m pretty sure her mom will end up carrying them

We bring full dinner for 5, including many cans of soda, Tuppeware, etc...and it's all fine. Just can't bring glass bottles.

None of that is prohibited so long as it's not booze in the water bottle and that it's not a glass bottle. Disney really is very open with what they allow in the parks, as pp stated. Basically no weapons, glass bottles, alcohol, selfie sticks, drugs/drug paraphernalia, folding chairs and pets.
