How soon will MS have my info?

I am very excited. I closed yesterday on my 170 points at OKW. How soon before MS has my info? I am very anxious to make my reservations.

Do you have a long 12 digit #? it's a member# if you have this, call MS at 9 am and see if it works. MS had our info days after we started. Incase you don't know the #, it's 1 800 800 9800. Good luck!! and Welcome home!!

No I don't have a number yet. They said that it might take Disney 7-10 day to get the info to MS. They said I should use my ss# to start. I thought maybe I would call tomorrow. Is that too soon?

I called about 2 days after closing and then started calling every day (sometimes twice a day!) until the info was there. I got different answers from everyone I talked to. The last CM looked for my paperwork in her stack and said she would put it in the system right then and that my points should be available 24-48 hours after that. Less than 24 hours later they were there - 6 days after my closing date.

When we added a resale contract to our existing membership, it took 5 days after the closing before the points were available at Member Services. By the way, it was a two step process for MS to add our new points to our account. On the fourth day after closing, MS could see that our new add-on contract was being merged into our account, but none of the information about the points was available. It wasn't until the fifth day after closing that the points were actually available for booking reservations. Since it sounds like you are a new DVC member, your situation might be different than mine. Good Luck and Welcome Home!!

It only took about 3 days when we added on via resale for all info and points to show up on our account. That was a little over a year ago.

I called MS and they had my info. I made 3 reservations. One in sept, one in dec, and one in may. I am so happy The only thing I have not gotten is my pin code. I might have to wait a few days for that. So I cannot view my acct. Oh well I am doing the happy dance.

Wow, that's the whole idea on joining the DVC, book those future reservations! Where are you staying for the three trips, all at OKW? And how many days each trip? Did you splurge and get a 1 BR or stretching the trips with a studio. It's so exciting!

Your post makes we want to go out and make another reservation as we only have two future reservations.

By the way, MS should be able to give you your PIN code over the phone. I got mine that way once my info was in the system but before the points were there. Have fun on all your trips!
