How soon should I make a location request?

I just booked 2 rooms at Coronado Springs-

When do I ask for a specific area?
I like the looks of the Cabana area-do I wait til the "4 day fax request window" or should I call them back & ask for it now?

I'd also like opinions from those who have stayed at CS what you think of where you stayed & why....

I have heard that the 4 day request window is no longer standard procedure at many resorts, but its worth trying. I would fire off a fax at the 4 day point. I would also call now and get a note placed on your ressies.

4 days request is still standard but the fax are no longer accepted so you need to call. I got the exact room I wanted

I'll definitely make that call at 4 days to confirm my request, thank you. For peace of mind I like to confirm with them personally...

The "unofficial CSR site" also recommends the Cabana 8A or 8B area. I'll be calling CSR tonight when I get home to add it to my ressie request.
