How soon should F/W be booked?

Since I am not at all familiar with booking/staying at Ft. Wilderness, just wondering when sites should be booked there, especially the preferred ones. I am used to booking 11 mos. out since that's the minimum we can book DVC, so is a year ahead of time too soon? I haven't booked with CRO in so long that I'm not even sure how far ahead you CAN book! If i want to go next spring/summer, is it too late? thanks!

I would book now, that way you can get the loop/site you need. I booked our summer stay for 06 in the late summer/early fall of 05.

You can book 500 days from your last day. I booked yesterday for August 6-18, 2007

I wanted the 800 loop this time so I thought I would book as soon as I could, maybe they would give me the preference.

Right now the rates for next year are not out so I ended up with the price for the regular season. My AAA agent said she could change things after the rates and special come out. I only needed to put a one night deposit to hold it.
