How soon can I book my shore excursions?

I am going to make my final payment on Monday, August 16, which is about 72 days out from our cruise on October 30th. Do you know when I can call and reserve our excursions. My DH and oldest DS would like to do the Dolphin Swim in St. Martin. They trip a few years ago in Nassau, we paid the deposit before we went(booked right throught the actual company) Then when they arrived they were told that the deposit was due. We couldn't contact the main office because it was the day after Christmas and that is a holiday in Nassau. So they returned to the boat and didn't get to go.( we did get our money back a couple of weeks later). So I don't want to wait till we get on the boat to book this excursion. Also does anyone know the number I need to call to book this? You guys are a great help, thanks so much in advance!!!!

Going 9/26 on Wonder. Should be reserve our floats (5) for CC now or wait?

Also, we would like the children to see the fish at Atlantis. Should we do the Discover Atlantis or the Atlantis Beach Day?

One more question: once we get to Nassau how do we get to the straw market?

I can only respond to the floats question. I reserved floats at 60 days (actually I did the whole package), and one of our friends reminded me later that he had read on this board that by lunch time, there are plenty of abandoned floats in the water for the taking.... We were at CC over Christmas, 2003, on a sold-out ship, and he was quite right!

We never had any problems renting the floats or rings when we arrived at CC.
As far as abandoned floats, I wouldn't be so brave to take one, someone has paid for them and people can and do get very upset if you take theirs.
They don't charge that much for them, so please do it the right and fair thing and rent it.

jeeper9, The Straw Market is just a short walk over the bridge in Nassau.

alwatlers, you should be able to make you excursion reservations on Sept 1.
