How soon after you return from the World do you start thinking...

where do I want to stay on my next trip to the WORLD??!!

We just returned on Sunday, and I have already been reading all the threads about the other resorts (Poly, GF, Boardwalk, Dolphin, etc) and thinking ooohhh I need to try staying there next time! But, I also am thinking that we LOVED AKL soooo much, that I may never get the family to stay anywhere else!

Actually for me it's how soon after I leave do I start planning my next trip.

Usually I give myself a month or two, but this time I made reservations less than a week after I came back to go again. :teeth:

Now, I'm just going back and forth over where I want to stay. I made a reservation for WL, which is where I stayed last time, but something about returning to POR is tugging at me.

For me its not a matter of price, but a matter of what I want to do when I go down this time and the fact that the food court at POR is so convenient. My biggest 'issue' with WL was that they only had the snack bar and not the food court for a quick and cheap (relatively :p ) meal.

Immediately...even before leaving. We LOVE AKL too...but to save $$$ doing the Dolphin this time!

Usually on the plane ride home!

We are always thinking, talking, and planning trips to WDW. But that's because we are totally insane and dangerously addicted. :hyper: This next trip is our 5th in 12 months!!! :earseek:

I usually start thinking about our next trip on the airplane ride home!LOL

I drive my DH crazy (not as big a fan as I am). This year coming up, we are staying four nights at AKL in February (surprise trip for DD's birthday), three nights at POR in May (never been there yet) and one night at WL before we go on a seven day cruise in October.

There are only a few that I'm not sure I would stay at, but I want to try each one just to experience the different themes.

I agree though AKL is wonderful! I would stay there all the time, but to get DH to agree on these trips I have to change where we stay to keep it interesting for him.:)

We planned our next trip while we were in the middle of our vacation this time.......

Yipee!!!!

If vacations were cigarettes, I would be a "light one off the other" chain smoker.:D Seriously, we usually are planning the next vacation while finishing the current one.

Ditto for us on the planning during the vacation. I talk about what we like and what we do not. We go once a year for 5 nights and we try to plan it perfectly.

Same here :p I usually start thinking about our next trip on the last few days of our vacation. We're hoping to go once more in May before our APs expire.

It really depends how long my last trip was to the World. If it's long enough, then it takes a few months to recover from the price clubbing we take when we're down there (how much is a bottle of water up to now?)

If it's a short trip, then almost immediately. Usually on the plane ride home.

We actually made our ressies while we were still at Disney. Now, I have changed them a few times but we knew that we wanted to return!!

:wave2:

I made my reservations for my upcoming trip while actually at Disney World. In other words, I'm constantly planning for the next trip. :earsboy:

We got back Sunday from the glorious AKL and I think we started planning the next trip 2 or 3 days before we left. I've got the new countdown clock ticking already, but if we can swing it, we'll be going back sooner.

We'll be staying at AKL again. After spending 2 nights at the Swan this past trip, we realized that AKL is the place for us. We adore it there. I called the front desk before we checked out to see if the "comeback" rate was still in effect, but, alas, it's not. If it had been, the next trip would already be booked.

we just came back on monday nite and we were thinking about our next trip before we even left.......we wanna stay at a deluxe this time (my beau and I).........we had 6 adults this year in 1 fort wilderness cabin and it was great (since my dad treated) but it was too crowded and the bathroom situation didn't work either so we were thinking about next years trip before we left. My beau and I are gonna book our own room this year and tell everyone when it's paid off........my father doesn't wanna stay anywhere but the cabins and he is just now a retired union carpenter and for the past year he has been working on an addition (a big one) on the back of my parents house. He also fell and hurt himself about a month ago and his foot was really bad this trip........not to mention about 3 1/2 years ago he had triple bypass surgery and he's 53.............NOW...........I need some opinions here from people who have stayed at the FW Cabins and other resorts.......

We are trying to convince him to stay elsewhere at least sometimes because it isn't always easy to get back to your cabin....there are at least 2 ways of transportation involved and long walks......I think if he stayed somewhere like the wilderness lodge (which still has a boat) or a resort on the monorail.......then.......he wouldn't be so tired and would be able to easily come home mid-day to take a cat nap or enjoy the pool and it wouldn't take a toll on him and it also wouldn't take nearly as long............AM I RIGHT TO THINK THAT MIGHT BE BETTER FOR HIM...........AND MY MOM???

Thanks for any input you can give me gang......

Have A Disney Day!!!!!!!princess:

Made our reservations fro April "04" before we left for our Thanksgiving trip. Can't wait to go back!!!!:Pinkbounc

We start planning our next trip during the 16 hour car ride on the way home! I just love the Mouse!!!!
