How silly will I look...

I bought a minnie dress and ears with intent that Lil girls can wear princess dresses to see princesses so I'm wearing my minnie dress to see minnie. I have always worn my eeeyore ears or some kind of mouse ears while at WDW and gotten lots of cute commetrs from other guests and CM's.

Who cares -- nobody knows you and you'll make someone else smile and wish they had thought of it!

I probably shouldn't admit this, but...

I'm a bit older than you (not a lot!!! ), and I was presented with *2* tiaras at WDW this past December by dear friends. One is a lovely Disney Princess tiara with flashy lights, the other is a very sparkly sequined number. I wore them several times. People were probably (okay, definitely) laughing, but I didn't care!

I was one of the people who gifted WebmasterKathy a tiara (two years of hearing her say, "I want a tiara" made me get her one just to shut her up!

She wore her tiara the night out our big Jellyrolls meet in December, and I wore a crown (the piano players were calling me the queen and one of them kept bowing down to me). Her tiara even made it on the head of one of the piano players at Jellyrolls (did you sell the thing on eBay, Kathy?).

As you can see in this picture, I'm in the front on the left wearing my crown, and Kathy is next to me wearing two tiaras at the same time. And there were others wearing other headgear, as you can tell.

So I just say that you wear the tiara and have some fun. Just don't wear it when WebmasterKathy is around. She likes to be the only princess.

Glad I came across this thread! I say go for it! I think I'm gonna pick me up some Tigger ears on my next trip and wear those around! :tigger:

Glad I found this board too. My husband and I both turn 40 this year, have no kids and LOVE Disney! princess: :wizard:

You guys are all so sweet. I'm now looking forward to this trip even more than I was before! :grouphug:

And thanks for the heads up on Jellyrolls. I didn't know they had a place like that at WDW. I told my hubby about it and he's now wanting to go. Looks like we're going to be spending an evening or two on the Boardwalk now, which is cool cause we didn't get over there on the last trip.

Just got back yesterday & wore my Tiara ($28 at the crystal shop in Epcot Germany)! Some stares but mostly smiles, some bows & a couple of where did you get that!!!

Can't wait to go back & wear it again!

Well you lot have convinced me as well. As soon as I can I am getting a nice tiara to wear at disneyworld!!!!!!!

:cool1:

Roll on September 17th

Whenever possible I will comment on the way a person is dressed or how they have their hair as they come through. I also will comment on or ask questions related to sayings on T-shirts. Of course I do it in a nice, friendly way as otherwise I could get in trouble.

If a person is in a wheelchair or ECV I will make a point to address them directly and warn them of "no racing", especially if it is a person who obviously has to be pushed.

My most fun comments are to people wearing (or carrying) items from Universal or Sea World; telling them they are not allowed to have them on Disney property. Then when they lauugh I complain that nobody ever believes me. Of course last week I said that to a woman wearing a Universal sweatshirt, and she responded: "OK, I'll take it off but then Security might get mad at me."

So, if you come through my gate at Epcot you will definitely get a favorable comment.

Just got back today and actually wore the animal print mickey ears all the way home in the car. Stopped at the Racetrac on Osceola before getting on the Turnpike and when I walked in a guy commented on my ears (he said "nice ears" I told him thanks!!) like I told my DH the only one I know and care about is him and he already knows I am wierd!! We are both 33 (he actually turned 33 the first day of this trip) with no kids yet and we LOVE Disney ~ this is our 4th trip together since May of last year. I say go for it ~ you only live once and you might as well have fun doing it and if you want to be a Princess by golly be a Princess ~ you are most certianly allowed to be that at Disney (I am sure that is what Walt would have wanted!!)

My 40 something friend has asked me for years to get her a tiara, after she saw that one from DL which I bought for my 4 yo friend.

I searched high and low for years; this Dec we were at Cape May and the teen at the next table was wearing a lovely tiara. Turned out she bought hers at the dollar store  but it was lovely.

I saw the one in the German pavilion, but wasn't going to spring for $28. Then I found a thread here on the budget board, but one had to buy 12 tiaras from the site, so I kept hunting.

Went to Claire's and they had soooo many types; ended up buying her a $14 tiara.

I gave it to her at a girls night out function; she immediately put it on and asked everyone walking by if they liked her tiara. As more and more friends joined us, everyone asked where she got the tiara. I told the story about the Budget Board link and needing to buy 12 to get the deal; EVERY woman at that party said that they would have worn a tiara if I had bought a dozen.

SO GO AHEAD!! HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!

Well I got a libby lu makeover with out my daughter one time when going to DL and I had gitter the crown the whole works!!!!
And I didnt give a crap!!! Do it girl princess: Be that Princess!!!!!!!

My DH bought me a flashing tiara at WDW this past trip which I wore in the parks (I'm 29 and we have no kids). Lots of people commented that they wanted one too and asked where I got it from! I say wear it and have a great time.

I wore a tiara the entire time during my birthday trip last October (I even put it on at the airport). I got a lot of fun comments. Even PUSH called me "his princess". It was my 53rd birthday.

I can't find a good Cinderella t-shirt in adult sizes, so I buy the largest girls' size I can find and I wear it! Not just at WDW! It's pink and it has sparkles and it says "Cinderella never felt so beautiful in all her life."

Just a side note in case you are wondering...
I am...over 40 and am a size 6 so a large child's size does NOT expose my "I'm-over-40-and-I've-had-four-kids-abdomen"

Anyway...I'd wear a tiara if I had one! princess:
