if I wear my tiara at WDW?

I'm 40 with no kids and I wanna be a princess, darnit! princess: Are y'all gonna point and laugh at me?

I had a cheap plastic comb type one I got at Disneyland a few years back but it broke. When I wore it it was kinda silly, but looking back it was also kinda fun. I bought a new one today with real rhinestones (oooh, reeel rhinestones!) and I want to wear it but I wonder what people will think.

I say go for it. :thumbsup2

Don't be surprised if someone stops you to ask you where you bought it cause they want one too. :cutie:

I think it is great. We only go around once and we should not ever say shoulda, coulda, woulda? Enjoy princess.

I probably shouldn't admit this, but...

I'm a bit older than you (not a lot!!! ), and I was presented with *2* tiaras at WDW this past December by dear friends. One is a lovely Disney Princess tiara with flashy lights, the other is a very sparkly sequined number. I wore them several times. People were probably (okay, definitely) laughing, but I didn't care!

At one point, I was walking into Old Key West with some friends for a DIS meet and proudly wearing my flashy Princess tiara. Walking toward us is a group of maybe 12 or 15 women who appeared to be from their 30s through their 60s. Guess what they were all wearing? FLASHY BUTTERFLY TIARAS!!! My own kind!!! We had a great little short visit.

Wear your tiara proudly, and enjoy. I think that WDW (and maybe Texas) are the only places we can get away with this. :teeth: princess:

Princesses should be for grown-ups. I love the princesses, and I love being one. So I say that it's fine. It's your kingdom. ;)

Go for it, why not? It's Disney, you're supposed to suspend reality. You ain't hurtin anyone. I say go for it! Granted, this is coming from a guy who goes by the name 'Goofy' in real life, and will proably find something Goofy related to wear when I get down there, but who cares? Do it!!!

my wife is 37 (but don't tell her i told you) and always wears her rhinestone tiara at the parks. (i bought it for her at Cinderella castle while we were dating).

she gets all sorts of cute comments from the CMs and always feels like a princess. :thumbsup2

Oh, my gosh- I LOVE Sam Moon!!!! I'm a purse and bracelet junkie.

They do have tons of tiaras with real rhinestones :teeth: . I might need one of those... :scratchin I could start a whole tiara collection!

:teeth:

I agree with all the encouragement so far. Something else I thought about is that adults wear Mickey and Pluto ears, so a tiara is not that far different. Have a great time!

you won't be alone that's for sure i seen plenty of adults (men too!) wearing them too at the bus stop, pleasure island, restaurants everywhere
its disneyworld make your wishes come true I hope you have a ball

I don't reserve my tiara just for WDW! I love being from a small city where I'm the only one out at the clubs in a tiara. I say wear it with pride.

make sure you have a lime green ribbon in that tiara........

i want to be able to recognize the disers when i am at wdw this fall.....

i promise not to point and laugh........but, i might bow when you pass by..........

Go for it! I wore my Cinderella one in October so DISers could find me for our little meet. I had cast members calling me Princess and curtseying or bowing. Was lots of fun, though I did have to take it off halfway through the night. The combs were digging into my head.

Cheers!

Absolutely, wear it. I always wear my glow necklaces and bracelets at night and love it. My adult children aren't thrilled, but they go along with it to please their old mother!!! On our last trip, whenever we got separated, we would hold up our bracelets to find everyone.

Enjoy!!

oh my, a clone of me.......but i bet you look much better with your glow jewelry.

i buy oodles at the dollar store and wear 4 bracelets and 3 necklaces every night at the parks.

and i do look cheap (glowing the way i do.)

it doesnt take a lot of money to look glowing.
my sons call it my trashy look

:thumbsup2 You go for it Gal. I would not laugh at you ...would
think that you are cool. Oh by the way I will be wearing my Tink
hat and carrying my Tink purse and wearing my Tink shirt etc. etc.
:hippie:

You won't look silly at all--at least no sillier than anybody else! :sunny: Wild headgear is very popular at WDW for all ages!

BTW, I saw a college-age woman wearing a tiara at the mall acouple of weeks ago--dressed completely normally other than that. :sunny:
