we have been remolding our house and we took a wall down and putting it back up in a different place and more open..YAY ..however dh hurt his back will doing this and is out for a while he even has to go to the chiropractor..so the wall is not finished, it is up and sheet rocked on one side but not the other and is not mudded or ready to paint..We are having Christmas at our house this year and it was supposed be done but ..anyway dh suggested I make it look like a wrapped present ..I don't know anyone have any ideas and if the wrapped present sounds good - my Christmas colors are purple and gold..should I use purple paper or gold with purple ascents?? thanks :goodvibes

I think the idea is a great one. Whether we went with gold w/ purple or purple w/ gold really depeds on two things. The other colors in the room and whether I could find a big bow in that color.

What do you mean by your 'Christmas colors'?

I have to have everything match purple and gold on my tree and mantel and other Christmas decor..

thanks so much for your opinion I will have to see what I can find :goodvibes

if you can't get someone in to fix it (and it sounds like a quick job for a professional), the wrapped present idea is great! oh how i feel your pain. when we built our house, we did all the sheetrock hanging ourselves, then got a professional company to come in and tape and mud. i was amazed at how fast they worked-the whole house was done in two days! i hope your DH feels better soon :)
