How should I do Castaway Cay?

I can't believe we leave so soon... I'm about to bust, I'm so excited!!

I'm looking for ideas for the best way to do Castaway Cay. It's just me and my almost-6 year old DS, and I'd like some together play time, and some alone time. What's the best way to handle this?

When I was there with my DD3 (alone), I first put her in the club at Scuttle's Cove. It is the right there when the tram lets you off. There are also some characters waiting for you near there. Then I went and scouted out a good chair/umbrella and dumped my extra stuff there. I then snorkeled a little and picked up my DD3 from Scuttles. We got a float and hung out in the water, had lunch, and rented a bike. After the bike trail we went back in the very refreshing water and relaxed until it was about time to get back on the ship. I didn't actually get to the adult beach (I am a Floridian and sunbathing is kind of boring for me), but I loved the snorkeling time alone and the bike trail was a good (but strenuous) way for us both to explore a little. I had to use the babyseat on the bike since she is not quite strong enough to handle even a bike with training wheels (a little uphill area and sandy part were there).
Whatever you do and however you do it, you will have an awesome time.....Castaway Cay is truly a piece of heaven!

DB35 has cerebral palsey and was able to ride a bike when we were younger. Can anyone comment on if bikes are 'mountain' bikes or the ones with thinner wheels? Wondering if he could possibly ride one. Has been over 20 years since he rode one.

Thanks for the ideas -- it sounds perfect to me! I've been trying to figure it out myself, but it's hard since I can't picture it in my head. And my brain is now on planning-overload anyway. Thanks again for the tips!
