How scary

It's a very scary world we live in anymore and even though I know this, it is still very shocking when it hits very, very close to home. The FBI arrested a man yesterday who they believe is a terrorist.... just 5 minutes away from where we live.

Hmmm, this is pretty interesting. Remember a couple of weeks or months after 9/11 they detained 3 men from Norristown on suspicions of terrorism or something like that, then they apologized and released the men saying they jumped the gun? I wonder if he was one of them?

Eh, I wouldn't worry about it. And I wouldn't be surprised if they are jumping the gun on this one too. Call me cynical, but I just don't have faith that our government will find the terrorists in this country.

I also wouldn't worry about it. A couple of months ago, one of my sister's friends was detained by the government because they suspected him of terrorism. Why did they suspect him? Because he's Palestinian -- despite the fact that he's a southern Baptist, and a native U.S. Citizen.

It seems the gov't is suspicious of everyone now.

That said, I did live two floors above Zacharias Moussaoui the summer before my freshman year of college -- saw him in the elevator a couple of times (He attended flight school at OU). So you never know, but it seems that lately the FBI is of the "arrest them first, investigate them later" school of thought.
