How Scary is HHN?

Have you actually experienced this at HHN, or are you just going off of hearsay? Both the guests and the scareactors are being watched at all times by fearcilitators and ride & show team members. Any scareactors purposely trying to grab someone would be terminated immediately, and they know this. Likewise, you will be thrown out of the park for touching scareactors. They don't take that stuff lightly.

Indeed. An accidental bump/brush is one thing, but if it's clearly intentional, a scareactor can be fired. Consequently, any guest that pushes/punches/kicks/takes flash pics of a scareactor in a house can be ejected from the park, have their annual pass cut up, and possibly be Trespassed by OPD.

I've heard some attendees say they tend to get a little touchy with the girls when they figure they can get away with it. It seems like anytime I get in one of these situations some guy always manages to grab "something."

Why is that? They seemed to only serve to anger people and that was not my intention.

no one was angered, there's very strict policies of touching any guest, and vice-versa. if you think you were touched on purpose, you should have went straight to Guest Services.

Granted. I really have no desire to argue about it (I'm not trying to be a jerk, just being honest). It wasn't at all my intention.

I've NEVER had any luck with any sort of scare attraction. I've tripped before. Nearly busted my nose open once. Perhaps it's just MY luck.

Just wanted to add a quick note... (on another board this seemed to turn into a big debate )

If you go to Universal Studios (where Halloween Horror Nights is being held this year) during the day you will not be able to experience Halloween Horror Nights. The Haunted Houses, Special Shows, Scarezones, Scareactors, etc...
are only availble during the event (from 7Pm to either Midnight or 2am depending on the night). So the only daylight you might get is between 7pm and when the sun sets. (In the past it seems like I've had about an hour or so of daylight after the event started)

However- there is a day time "behind the scenes" tour. (check out the official website) for about $35.00 per person...this would allow you to see some (not sure on the exact details) of the houses with the lights on. (The scareactors will not be in the houses at this time)
This might be a good idea if you're worried about being scared at night. As others have said, nothings as scary once you've seen it in the light.

hey, HHN is one of the best things that happens in my life.

i travel down from chicago just to do three nights of HHN each year.

the last 3 years, going on 4 this october, i come solo and have a ball.
i totally and completely am addicted to HHN...........

i walk around the park in the daytime so i can see some of the non hidden set ups for hhn. also, since the park is quite dark in parts, i can get the layout of the land and figure out possible places for scare actors to hid.

i have never been freaked out.
i have been surprised a few times but never ever scared.

go ahead and try hhn once. it is an experience.


i have not had any scareactor grab or touch me. i wouldn't mind if it was a hot one.....jk one of the great things about the scareactors at hhn is they can talk. that really adds to it



try it once, its not scarey and you'll like it.....
