How scary is dinosaur?

For those who liked it, would you like it as much if it weren't so loud and jerky? I never could figure out why Disney decided it had to have those extreme elements. Just wondering if those who liked it think it's part of the fun? :confused3

I loved Dinosaur. It was the only ride that terrified my then dd8. My then dd5 was almost hysterical just trying to make it through the line and she ended up skipping the ride. Which was a good thing once I went on it, she would have been a complete mess if she'd ridden it.
Like I said, I loved it though. Instead of screaming, I laughed through the whole thing :)

you ma'am, are the bravest of the brave, i would certainly pee my pants in THAT situation!!

now, i have quite an intense fear of any and all dino replicas (even statues) yet i ALWAYS get dragged into Dinosaur, and I always ride with my ears plugged and my eyes closed, I'll peek every now & then to see what's going on, but it terrifies me so so so much!! I'm 20 and it has always scared me! And it's the Dinos (and the LOUD, TERRIFYING noises they make) that scare me.
It's not too scary of a ride without the dino element, and as I say, I get dragged onto it even though it terrifies me and I have survived every time. It's the dinos that are the scariest IMHO, but you can easily block them out by shutting your eyes/plugging your ears (if you can handle not hanging on to the handlebar)

I've only been on Dinosaur twice, once when I was like 7 and again when i was almost 10. I was scared both times:eek:. I don't think I'm ever going on it again. Even my mom thinks it's too scary. But every year since then my sister has been trying to get me to ride it. Luckily last time it temporarily broke down. So if you're scared of giant dinosaurs...and the dark, I wouldn't recommend it.

:) I do all the thrill rides and rollercoasters at WDW...but I keep my eyes closed on Dino at the end and also in the attic of the Haunted Mansion. That bride scares the crap out of me and I have never seen the 'big dino' at the end of the ride.

My Mom is a tiny, frail little thing and she wanted to ride Dino so we went on it together. She kept her eyes open. When I asked if the big Dino got close to us....she just gave me an evil smile and said "yep".

DH and BIL (brothers) both thought it was a scary ride and there was a certain amount of togetherness noted on the end photo....they had the look of surprise.

The jerkiness of it makes me laugh.
