Well My Story Is This...i Was Planning On Staying On Site But Since I Am On A Budget I Might Stay Off Site
It Will Be And My Twin Daughters (3) And I Was Thinking About Staying At The Cypress Pointe Grand Villas..(found A Great Price And With A Kitchen,,big Bonus) I Will Have A Car So Thats Not The Issue. Will It Be Safe For Me To Go With The Kids? I Know I Must Not Let My Guard Down Just Because I Am On Vacation. Just Wondering It The Hotel (well Resort) Is A Good Choice For Me? Thanks Anyone And Everyone

Yes, this resort is quite safe. Please post in regular sentence format instead of capitalizing every word. Your post is very difficult to read.

I had a friend who would never take his two small daughters anywhere alone because his thing was .... if somebody grabbed one what would you do with the other while you chased after the kidnapper. My hesitation about traveling alone with the two little ones would be how to keep a constant vigilance in the unit. How do you shower or use the potty? Do you just lock them in the bathroom with you? Or wait until they are sleeping? And certainly using the restroom in a public place must be a challenge. No buffets because you couldn't leave them at the table while you got food. You are a brave woman for even considering this IMHO.

I think the resort would be as good a choice as any, but is there a teenage neice or something you could take along just to give you a little breathing room now and then?

The only unsafe thing I've run into in some timeshares is those door handles on the outside doors where the dead bolt unlatches if you push down on the handle. I'm terrified that my special needs 8yo will escape someday. We always stack chairs or something in front of the door when it's like that. He'll probably get hurt by a chair falling on him, but at least the noise would wake us up. So far, fortunately, he hasn't tried to get away.

I am always amazed at the things people say. What do you think single parents do...stay at home all of the time? I have driven and flown to WDW and other places as the only adult. You make it work. Nobody can guarantee your safety....anywhere.:scratchin

I think you'll be fine. I never understand when people worry about taking 2 kids somewhere by themselves. I have a good friend who is a widow, she has 6, yes 6, children. At one point she had 4 under the age of 4. She still went wherever she needed to go. You make adjustments when you have to.

well thanks everyone for your posts. I will take it all in and make my choice. As far as being scared that someone would kidnap my kids is on my mind at my local walmart so i always have them in a cart or at the local zoo (which we go to alot alone) i have them in the wagon at all times. and about showering or goin to the bathroom at the hotel with them is easy i leave the door open and they bother me the whole time. and that the parks we aould be using the family style or handicape size stall for the 3 of us. Thanks again all

The secret is to turn on the TV to the Disney Channel to keep the kids occupied while you are occupied ;). Have fun!

I don't know what kind of rate you got but thought I'd share what I had the week before Christmas. We also had the 2BR/2BA condo at Cypress Pointe Grand Villa (in fact, we had 3 of them). We paid $300 per week for each of them (from a Sunterra owner on ebay). I can share her contact info if you PM me.

After you make your reservation, call CP and request a condo on the pool side of the buildings. At CPGV, the buildings surround the pools, activity building (lots of fun activities for the kids), the playground, and the mini golf. The condos on the other side of the building front the parking lot.

Have a great trip!
