Getting ready for our disney trip and will be posting with questions as they occur. My ds who 6 has an expensive pediatric stroller. He can walk but due to many long term late effects left from cancer treatment has balance, stamina , periphereal neuropathy and dehydration issues needs to use the stroller for long walking. How secure are the strollers if we leave it outside of a ride? He can walk but we would be carrying a 63 lb boy if he didn't have his stroller. Not easy anymore eventhough he's short. The stroller is not easily replaceable. The standing on lines and heat really get to him but unfortunetly for us only time we can now go to WDW is the summer- my older kids cannot miss school anymore. He's also profoundly deaf in one ear and mildly deaf in the other but I asked a question on one of the other post about that.
Thank you so much!

Welcome to disABILTIES!

If you click on where it says "disABILTIES" at the top of this page it will take you to the Index. The third item down is the "disABILTIES FAQ" which will gives lots of useful information, including about Guest Assistance Cards. It appears that you need a "stroller as wheelchair" card, as well as a stamp on it for hearing impaired.

This way you generally will not have to leave the strollers. If you do, you might want to bring a small cable lock to lock a wheel to the frame (Do not lock the stroller to anything) which will allow a CM to move it but will make it otherwise unuseable.
