We arrive in a month and for our arrival day I didn't get any tickets. I have dinner reservations at Beach Club, but would rather be at Downtown Disney and have someplace to spend a couple of hours that evening. Is it still a disaster or do you think it's worth a visit for something to do? Thanks!!

There's plenty to do but there's still a lot of construction going on. One of the parking garages is now open but the old parking lots are mostly a mess.

Thanks! I won't have a car with me, relying on Disney transportation. Just don't want to have to sit around the resort all night.

It's very crowded and it's a mess... Because of all the construction, there are a lot of bottlenecks and it makes it hard to walk around. There are some really great stores, but for the most part, you're gonna see the same stuff you have seen in all the parks/resorts. I would suggest sticking with the Beach Club reservations and hanging out at the Boardwalk, which is just a 5-10 minute walk. However, if you're set on going to DTD, I would suggest Splitsville - the food is good and bowling is fun. :)

We were mostly in the MarketPlace last Monday night and I didn't find it any more crowded then other times I've been there and I didn't see a whole lot of construction walls in that area. The walkway across the water is open now and that makes for a nice stroll. HOWEVER! Getting there was the longest bus ride, or should I say bus sit, of the whole trip. I say sit because there were so many buses trying to pull up and unload that we sat in line for over 25 minutes just from around the corner where the gps switches the "Welcome to Downtown Disney" spiel on. Had I had reservations I would have been really stressing! Thankfully didn't have the same wait time on the return trip to the hotel.

Leave early for DTD. It is still a bit of mess. But since you are on property that takes parking out of the equation. So I think you will be alright.

When we were there in September, it was a MESS!! It was very frustrating trying to get to our reservation at Planet Hollywood. When we go next month, we're eating at the Rain Forest and staying in Market Place!
