How revealing are the suits on the beach and pools...

Land's End has mix & match 2-piece suits. Not quite as cute as the pink polka-dot, but still cute and age appropriate. Maybe you could find a solid top at LE or even Target that fits better and still wear the bottoms.

A friend had suggested this as well. That when we are well endowed ladies.. sometimes paying more for bathing suit tops is the way to go for the extra support!

Well, it's a cute suit, but if my 6 year made a comment, I for sure wouldn't wear it.
I know my 6 year old grandson would for sure say something in public and I would be
embarrassed.... that's just my opinion...

She loved the suit itself but the way the top fit (way too small) was what lead her to give the comment!

i say wear it. so cute! plus if you're on my cruise, i promise between hubby's tattoos and my "girls" you won't be the one getting talked about. LOL. i'm used to it. i am struggling to find a conservative suit though as most I own are Vegas or Hawaii types. My friend was on RCI last week and said she felt like she stuck out like a sore thumb with fake breasts, so I wholeheartedly expect to feel the same way.

Woo, aggiedog, I want that Frozen bra bad!

This thread reminds me of the 'funniest' you've seen on DCL thread. We were eating brunch on the Wonder and a gal came by and was 'adjusting' her suit in the reflective windows. Quite a free show. Everyone started laughing. "Does she know?" "Yes, adjust the top, check the tan lines on the behind." It was so funny. One of those 'had to be there' moments. No Mr. PizzieDuster, not you. LOL Close your mouth. Stop blushing. LOL

If you have to ask the question in the first place, you have your answer right there! Castaway Cay beach is different than a beach you may find in Europe or elsewhere. It's just as easy this trip to wear a swimsuit you have no question about and concentrate on enjoying the day instead.
Have a wonderful cruise.

Beautiful bathing suit! And I went to GS one cruise to complain about a guest's very inappropriate pool attire. I only wear bikinis since my top size is much bigger than my bottom size and it is impossible to fit a one piece that fits. This suit is tasteful and it looks like all the essential parts will be covered.

My teen is a plus size, and has a swimsuit like the one your talking about and she was asked by a few mom's "where did you get your swimsuit at?"
IF you feel GREAT IN IT Then don't worry what others are going to think.... for me those that have to say something about what someone has on they don't have nothing else to do....

That is super cute - I love these retro styles. Your girls are adorable!

a thong is not appropriate in a family setting. I dont care how nice you're body is, I dont want to see a piece of material up your butt and I dont want to see your butt cheeks hanging out. Just sayin'
I don't see why people are concerned by how others choose to dress. My vacation won't be impacted one way or another by someone wearing a certain type of bathing suit or not dressing to others standards in the MDRs.

MUN

Exactly! If you don't like it, don't look. Yes, your eyes might wander over it as you're scanning the area, but they don't have to linger. If you continue to be drawn to look at something that disturbs you, well, that says more about YOU than the person innocently minding their own business and enjoy their own vacation.

It's kind of hard not to look. That makes no sense. It's in front of us. We see it. I dont appreciate having to see your bare ***. Just like I dont appreciate seeing your underwear (for those who like to wear their pants half way down their legs). Mind you, Ive never seen anyone wearing their pants down their legs at disney but I have seen it elsewhere and Im just trying to make a point. It's not like a show on tv that if I dont like I can switch the channel. It's in front of me, where I am. Inappropriate is inappropriate whether you like it or not. With your logic then I should be able to just walk into a park naked and if you dont like then look away! Really??! give me a break!

I buy that argument for shorts at dinner pre dress code change, but not for people showing private parts at a family friendly cruise. I choose not to cruise on Carnival because that is what they are selling (wet tee shirt contests etc). I choose to go on DCL because it I sold as a family friendly product. I have the expectation of people being dressed appropriately in a family setting. What is disturbing are people who have the need to expose themselves to small children. There is an entire adult section for the thong loving crowd.

I agree

A thong isn't considered inappropriate in some areas of the world. And we're going on a cruise which draws people from all over. Just because you might think a bottom is not to be seen doesn't mean others feel that way. You can see it and then look away. And move on.

I'm not going to wear a thong, and DH isn't going to wear a speedo bikini style suit, but if others do, who cares (as long as the Speedo fits and the elastic is relatively new, LOL...I don't want to feel in danger of total flash-age from an elastic failures)?

Whenever I think about one person being worried about a thong vs a more full-bottomed suit, I think about how *other* cultures must view people wearing a Land's End style bathing suit. They must think it's just as bad as "we" view a thong.

I hardly think a woman wearing a Brazilian cut or thong type bottom put it on that day because she had a "need to expose" themselves to children. When I see someone wearing it I think that the woman has some pretty good self esteem and confidence about her own body.

Anyway, this popped into my head after reading this thread:

Opinions are like butts. Everyone has one and some are better than others.

This is an absolutely false statement. CCL does not have wet tshirt contests.
