How reliable is allears?

I have visited that website on and off since our last WDW visit, found it quite helpful.

But now us noobs are planning our first trip to the fort in Nov., and I'm starting to obsess about our yet to be assigned campsite. The loops described on ears - how accurate is that site's info?

I've seen posts like this one....

Hello, Did you request a premium or preferred or full hook up? We were in the 1700 loop which is a pet loop but the site was really big. We had a lot of room to spread out.

and others, and I think I'd tend to take the experience of these firsthandmembers here. But allears contridicts the above poster's info.....they say 1700 is a preferred non-pet loop....so I have to wonder which is correct?

Is the general consensus on Dis that allears is allwet?

Can I trust the info on there? Or is the contradiction a result of all the construction/updating going on, temporary petloops and whatnot?

Since it's our first visit and I'm not sure what to expect, I guess I just want reasurrance. I don't know why I'm so paranoid - we toured the fort when we visited last March. I don't recall seeing a "bad" site.

Planning to request 700, looks nice from the pics I've seen, looks like DH hubby won't have parking issues and the location is centrally located - halfway between the pool and the marina.

Gosh the waiting is awful. Can't get here soon enough for me!

No offense to the good folks at All Ears, but the info you posted about the 1700 loop is absolutely wrong. At least currently. I have been to the Fort for three stays this year. I can tell you with absolute certainty that at the present time the 1700 is classified as a full-hook up pet loop. Not a premium non-pet loop.

Admittedly, there is a lot of confusion at present, because WDW has not stuck with the schedule that it originally announced, and apparently has changed its original plan to eliminate all full hook up loops. I would guess that it will be later this year before all the dust settles, and we can finally say with certainty what is what.

I promise you that the information you get here is accurate and up to date.

Yep, AllEars information on the Fort is a bit off.

The information there is from the original press release when the upgrades were announced.

Many things have changed since then, and until the entire renovation is complete, I don't think "anyone" know for sure what loops will be pet loops or non pet loops.

We are "pretty" sure that 1600 - 1900 will remain Full Hookup.

We have no clue as to what 900 - 1100 is going to be. Choices: Upgrade to Premium, Leave as Full, or reclassify to Preferred.

Also, on some of the new Premium Loops, some were said to be pet loops and some were not, but it appears they have put "cleanup bag" dispensers in all of the Premium Loops.

I've known Deb for quite a few years, so after everything is done and we know for sure, what loops are what, if one of her staff hasn't already updated everything, I'll send a detailed email advising of the corrections.

It is not like they don't have the dispensers to put up, because there are three on the 600 loop now (2 on the new part, and 1 on the old part). Most of the other pet loops only have one. They must be expecting a lot of poop to happen on 600?

I agree that when it comes to the loop assignments/info., with all the refurb. craziness over the last year or so, there aren't too many sources that have the latest and greatest info - AllEars included.

Actually, I'm pretty sure this is IT - thanks to all the great folks here that get to the Fort regularly enough to keep us up-to-date.

When it comes to lots of other things, I think AllEars is pretty reliable.

There is no #2 stall on the 600 loop.

In fact, there is no comfort station at all.

You are right! Having all the awesome reporting and photos of all the changes at the Fort and some good laughs along the way with some very helpful tips. This is the best place for me to get info on the Fort and enjoy doing it at the same time. Thanks to all who share the info on our favorite place to enjoy our family time together.

When we made our reservations the CM guaranteed us that the 1700 & 1900 were full hookup nonpet loops. and another CM confirmed this when we checked on getting in the 100-200 loops.
