How quickly after puchase can points be transferred?

If I were to commit to buy my first DVC interest direct from Disney, I understand that I could make my first reservation very quickly.

But suppose I have a friend who is going to transfer me some points to add to the points I purchase. How quickly do you think it would be until I have an account that can accept the transfer such that I would be able to do the transaction?

While transferring out they might require waiting until they have your final check and signed documents back, for transferring in once your account is set up I can see no reason why they you could not transfer in immediately. Have your guide check with MS to make sure.
