How pathetic can you be? LONG

My husband got on a commuter train with a broken leg on crutches. Not one person got up to give him a seat. :confused3 Peaple are just not brought up right anymore.

What a real jerk! Maybe one of the regulars from stop #1 could sit in Fred's seat to "reserve" it for him until he gets on the bus so this wouldn't happen again or the driver could rope the seat off until Fred gets on.

Great Idea!!!

Oh boy, watch out. I posted something similar a few weeks ago about my DD at a children's museum and several people basically had the same attitude as the woman at Chuck E Cheese!

I remembered that and was thinking the exact same thing!!

I used to ride the university bus system, which ran right by my apartment, to classes in undergrad. One day a girl with a HUGE knee brace got on and was going to have to stand. Because of the way this bus was laid out, the handicapped seats were across the aisle from where I was sitting. I'm trying to say that I was not in a handicapped seat. I still gave her mine...She needed it! A "nontraditional student" (that was the politically correct way to refer to students returning to school, this lady was probably in her 40s) commended me on giving up my seat. SHE was sitting in the handicapped seats and said it made her feel very selfish, etc. for not offering. People on the bus can be extremely rude.

I have a son with special needs and you would be shocked at some of the stories I could tell you.

Yeah, I believe it.

I didn't post in my OP that my husband basically told the man exactly what he thought of him.

My son is visually impaired, so it really kind of hit home for us.

The last few times I was at an adult-type game place (Jillians, Dave & Busters), you could barely play because of the kids hogging everything, so I guess it goes both ways.
Yes, but one would think that the "adults" at Chuck E Cheeses wiould have more of a maturity level. Kids hogging stuff is just as annoying, but they are kids, and if their parents don't teach them that "when an adult at this adult establishment wants to use one of the games you are playing, you are to finish your turn and step aside" then how would we expect them to learn???

The adults at Chuck E Cheese's set no example of taking turns either.
