Well I am 43 yrs old and hubby is 45. I have two boys, age 23 from my first marriage and now hubby and I have a precious princess, 5 yrs old.

I wouldn't change it for the world.

My saying is "She will either keep me young or kill me one!"

I have another saying "be nice, the younger one picks your nursing home.";)

Ok, let me get out of my wheelchair and wipe the drool off my chin. It appears I may be the elder of the board so I demand respect.
56 last October, wife is 55. Married 10 happy years. The other 22 was pure hell. Daughter 30, son 26, two granddaughters age 10 and 4.
Ok, time for my prune juice and bedtime.

We had something similiar in that my youngest 16, (boy) and oldest (boy.. should say man he's 27!) have 11 years between them. (two girls in between). I had my older son graduating high school and the youngest graduating kindergarden the same year! I never had that experience where all the kids were in school at the same time, and naturally with their age differences, no one was ever in the same school either. I only had one year when my younger daughter and younger son were in the same school at the same time.

Wow - I'll bet that was a busy year with the two graduations, lol!
I always joke with my mom (who will be 83 this June - don't tell her I told you, lol) about how she was pregnant for most of her adult life, and constantly had children in every stage. She and my dad will be celebrating their 63rd!! wedding anniversary this July. I'm the youngest of 8, the oldest of my siblings are two of my sisters, who are "Irish twins" (one born in January, the other in December of the same year), and they are 20 years older than I am. In fact, my MIL loves me because one of my first comments to her when we met was that I had two sisters the same age as she was! After the two oldest girls, my mom had my four brothers, then my other sister then me. So, every time my life gets a little hectic juggling schedules and shuttleing kids, I always imagine what it must have been like to be my mom with all 8 of us! :shamrock:

Ha! That's so funny, I have a similiar situation in that my parents were married very young 15 and 16(what can I say..it was a different time!)..and I was the first born. However my husband is the youngest in his family..and he's four years older than I am. His older brother is 12 years older than he is and is. Turns out he is a few months older than my mom! So my mother inlaw has kids my parents age. Or my husband has siblings the same age as my parents..wierd either way you look at it!:scared:

Monica,

Just want to tell you a miracle story that happened right in my office. My friend and co-worker was 41 years old, had given up on having children after years of not being able to get pregnant even with fertility treatments and when she did get pregnant there were miscarriages (I'm sorry by the way for your loss).

She is living proof that you should not give up and miracles do happen.

Best wishes Monica.

Thank you so much for your thoughts and best wishes! I'm hanging on to that miracle!

Both my wife and I are half a century old. Been happily married 32 years. We have 5 kids ranging between 17 and 30 and grandkids popping out pretty regular nowadays. Have 5 going on 6 and plans for more. Shoulda had them first! Be there in June and I am looking hard for a peacock or Otter lawn ornament for the fort. You guys are nuts, just the way I like people.:lmao:

I'm 32, the wife is 33 (turning 34 in a couple months though, I like to call her old woman :P). Been married a little over a year, have our first little boy, Reilly, due in just a few weeks!

Be there in June and I am looking hard for a peacock or Otter lawn ornament for the fort.

Come to my house, we have tons of peacock lawn ornaments. Of course, these actually move and squawk and poop, so you might not like them ;)

I'll go ya one better: I am the youngest of seven. My brother is the oldest at 64. Five girls in between. My two oldest sisters are the same age - born 9 days apart.

Yep, you read that right.

Dad was married to a woman named Ruth, and they had two kids, my brother David, and oldest sister Laurie. Ruth and Laurie both got polio at the same time, and Ruth did not survive it.

Mom was married to a man named Tom, and they had two kids, Betty and Mary Kay. Mom was pregnant with my sister Claire when Tom was killed in an accident. He died July 4, buried three days later on Mom's birthday. Claire was born a week later on the 14th.

Two years later, Mom was working my my Aunt Mary (Dad's sister) and Mary introduced them. They were married in 1955, had my sister Patty in 1956 and me in 1960. There were so many girls in the family they pretty much figured I would be another girl - SURPRISE!!!!! I was three days old before my Dad told my Mom he wanted me named Gerald.

So, a real "Hers, Mine and Ours" story for my folks. My Mom will say that to this day, her greatest accomplishment was raising 7 home-owning, tax-paying American citizens.

Been married 35 years with 3 kids (one of each) 27-33. We were both born in the 1940s after WWII with 2 grandsons and another on the way. The youngest DD told DW that they will start a family after she finishes her next marathon. Darned if I can figure that one out.

My favorite answer to the question, HOW OLD? Old enough to know better, young enough to still want too!

...3 kids (one of each).......
