How old were your kids when you let them babysit?

I meant to ask you what you and your dd thought of the red cross babysitters course. My dd is curious as to what it is like and there isn't much info on the website. Hers will be two evenings from 4:30 to 8:00 she is looking forward to it but a little info would be great! Thanks

My daughter went to a one day class- I think it was about 8 hours long. They seem to cover a lot of the basics and they did learn some about CPR and the heimlich. I don't think it went into a lot of detail as far as lifesaving. She brought home a book with a lot of good information in it too as a review guide.
