Hi guys! Just curious how old your kids were when they went on RnR for the first time? I have never been on it so I have no idea what to expect. My daughter is a thrill ride junkie (and also tall for her age) and was on Splash and BTMR before she turned 3. She was on ToT and EE at age 4. She should hit 48 inches by our next trip in Nov at which point she will be 5 1/2. The one thing that makes me a little nervous is that she usually likes us to have an arm around her shoulders so she doesn't bump her head on the back of the seat, but obv you can't do that with RnR. Anyway, just looking for others' experiences. Thanks!!

My oldest was 8 when she went on it for the first time, but my youngest will be 6 and tall enough when we go in January and really wants to ride. It's not a really rough ride so I think she'll be ok even if you can't put your arm around her.

Just have her put her head all the way back into the seat. Once it takes off she may have a tough time moving it.

My son was about 8 but he was kind of scared of big rides when he was younger. Once he rode it he loved in. It's a very smooth and easy ride. In fact, it is one of my very favorite rides in all of WDW and I tend to really dislike roller coasters. There are no drop on RnR so I think that's why I enjoy it. No, you won't be able to put an arm around her but the harness make you feel very secure, you should be able to hold her hand though.

I don't specifically recall, but I believe my daughter was 6 (she's 11 now). She liked it at the time, and rode it multiple trips. But, at about age 9, she decided did not like it, and won't ride it any more.

I believe my son was 7. He's now 13 and it's his favorite ride. But, he's a roller coaster junkie,

My daughter was 5 or 6 -- loved it! Just gave the pointer to keep her head back in the seat before launch. :thumbsup2

My son went last summer at 6! He loved it! Rode several times! He's a thrill seeker.

His twin sister was not tall enough and I'm trying to talk her into riding on our trip this year but she's afraid!

My son was 6 but he didn't like it and won't go back on it (but he wanted to try it and he'll ride anything else and has been on other roller coasters but it was the dark that he didn't like) he has yet to be on space.

Thanks for the feedback guys! If she's tall enough, we'll prob try it (Space too). She handles the dark in dinosaur fine so hopefully it will be good!

I've always let my daughter go on anything she was brave enough for as long as she was tall enough. She would have happily gone on RnR at age 5, but she wasn't tall enough. I hope for her sake she's tall enough this September at 8 years old.

Ha I love all of these young kids riding it. My 14, 9 and 9 year olds are total ride chickens and won't do it. Hoping to get them on when we're there in a couple weeks.

My DD learned how to manipulate me into buying pins if she went on rides. She thought she was tricking me by acting like she didn't want to go on. I let her think she got me.

My son was 4 1/2 (he's super tall for his age) and he loved it!! You know your child and it sounds like she will love it! My son has always liked high intensity rides as long as it wasn't scary.

Both boys at 4 - very tall for their ages and thrill seekers. It's the only ride my now 12 yo will wait longer than 20 minutes for

DD was about 5. Her comment after it was "never ever forever am I going on it again" as we got off. By the time we got through the exit and the entrance was right there, she wanted to go on it again.

My DD finally heighted into the ride at age 8. Words can't even express the nervousness she had before the ride even started. Once it did and before it came to a complete stop/end, she was yelling she wanted to do it again. Love this rollercoaster!
