How old were you?

I was 5 my first time at DL. We lived less then 5 miles from DL from ages 5-7 and went several times. Then I returned in 1997, the summer after my senior year of HS with our band. We got to play a concert where Fantasy Faire is now. We also got to go back stage, which was really strange as we saw ride parts and characters out of character lol. I didn't return until 2007 when my husband took me for our 7 year anniversary. It was the first time I saw CA. We returned in 2008 with our sons and have taken annual trips ever since. We did detour to WDW in 2009 for the first time, but I did not enjoy it as much as DL so will probably never return there.

My first time to Disneyland I was 4 or 5 years old, I grew up close enough to the park where we could hear the fireworks ( thank goodness they didn't happen nightly. Lol) We visited about 2 or 3 times a year. I became an AP in 2008 and now visit a few times a month with DD.

My first trip to WDW I was 11 :-)

I went when I was younger but went a really long time without going and didn't fall in love with it until 2009 when I was 23. Right now it's been over a year since my last trip and I am dying because it's been too long!

I went for one day in 1984 when I was 12, and barely remember the trip.

Went again, five years ago (age 36) and have now been to DL 5 times, WDW 3 times, have taken 2 DCL cruises and have bought into DVC.

My first trip to WDW was when I was 23. My DH, then BF, took me. He had been as both a child and adult with his family. He still jokes with me about how within the first 30 minutes of arriving at the Magic Kingdom for the first time, I had my embroidered ears, Mickey balloon, and we were meeting Mickey for my first time ever! I was like a little kid! I totally fell in love.

Our first trip to DLR was together, and I was 25.

We love Disney trips! Our DDs do, too! DD4 turned one on her first trip to DLR, and DD2 turned one on her first trip to WDW. princess: princess:

I went for a day when I was 14 on a band trip down from Northern California. We waited 2 hours for Star Tours as it had just opened. I knew I would love it because I loved all things Disney. I went again as a Sr in HS for a conference down there. Again, just part of one day.

My DH went for the first time at 22 on our honeymoon. That was the first time I spent multiple days in the park and learned it was the only way to go.

My oldest DS (now 11) went for the first time when he was 16 months old and barely walking.

I don't know for sure how old my younger DS was when he went for the first time. We didn't adopt him until he was 3.5 but his previous adoptive family were also Disney nuts so I know they took him at least once. The first time he went with us, he was 6 (now 9).

We average a trip every 2 years, but sometimes there has been a 3 year gap followed by two years in a row.

My husband took me to DL for our honeymoon back in 1999 when I was 27. I loved it right away but we did not make it back until our son was 6, in 2011. Since that trip we have taken DS there 5 times with a 6th planned for August!

Hmm, first time I visited WDW I was 12 or 13. Loved it and we went back one more time before leaving FL. Easier to see when there were only 2 parks back then. We then moved to SoCal so went to DLR when I was 15 or 16. My brother became a CM for a bit after that and we went frequently. Probably why DLR feels like my "home" park.

It was always a childhood dream to go to Disneyland, but living in Australia, it stayed a dream until I was 43. Now I leave for my 5th trip next week, practically going every year since. Love it

I did go twice as a kid once to young to remember and once for just a day, we went on our honeymoon (I was 21 and we were on our way back to NZ from Greece) because my husband has never been.
Well we have alternated between DL and WDW almost every year since...Now it's even more enjoyable taking our kids, I can't imagine not going again...I see us old and grey and shuffling through the parks...

I was 44 when I took my first trip. We lived in Texas growing up and went to Six Flags instead (NOT the same!!). My DD14 was 5 when I decided to take us both for the first time (yes, I was a first-time mom at 39). Just the two of us, one of the best memories of my entire life as she was so into Princesses and young enough to believe!

I may have been 5 when I first visited WDW, but I was 25 when I first stepped foot into Disneyland, and it was love at first sight.

I was 27 and DW was 26 when we went the first time as adults. That was in 1986. We had both been to DL once previously in our teenage years. We were hooked from then on and have been back to DL nine times, and WDW three times. A couple of those trips were just us as our DD's have grown, but the last trip was with our DD and our three GD's. Had a blast with them. That was just last month during spring break, and DW and I are already planning for next year. :thumbsup2

My first WDW trip was in 1985 at the age of 13. Fell in love, but didn't return until my first wedding anniversary in 1993. Have been almost yearly since then.

My first trip to DL was in 2000 as part of some Disney Company training. It was an amazing experience, especially getting to set foot in Walt's apartment. Returned in 2005 for the 50th anniversary (our 12th wedding anniversary - yes my anniversary is July 17). Another emotional experience. Have been a couple of times since and am currently planning trip for me and DD12 for this July. Can't wait to get back!

I was 3 months old. Riding down Main Street in my stroller was the first time I ever laughed. Of course I don't remember that (it's in my baby book) but I have been in love with DL ever since :)

My first visit to DL was when I was about 18 months old. I used to live in LA, so I went many times as a child...have been a Disney princess my whole life! princess: Even as a teen, my boyfriend and I would run all over the park with our friends making life-time memories. My family moved to Texas in 1984 and went many years before I was able to return. Fast forward several years, and that BF from years ago is now my DH and we're taking our 7 year-old DS to DL for his first visit. As we made our way to the front gates, and I could see the train and hear the music, I literally welled up with tears as all the memories of my childhood came rushing back. It was magic! :wizard: Sharing DL with our boys has been a real joy and we've created another generation of DL lovers!

I went to DL when I was 8 months pregnant with my daughter. So her first trip to Disneyland was about 7 days before she was born!
