My maternal grandma is 88 and still alive

I lost my maternal Grandfather at 7.

Other 3 grandparents in my mid 30s, they all passed within a few years of one another. At one point both of my grandmothers were in the same memory care facility and they passed very close to one another.

I was so close with my moms mom, I can’t put it into words. She was absolutely wonderful in every way.

On my father's side, they both had passed away 36 years before I was born.
On my mother's side, my Grandmother passed away 4 years before I was born. Grandfather passed away when I was 8, 4 weeks before we were going to Canada for me to meet him for the first time.

17 and she was my whole world . She was my age now when she died. I realize now she was so young. She died of cancer at 54. Now I have the same close relationship with my oldest grandaughter. I feel like I'm her whole world and she is mine too.

Maternal grandfather-I have no idea. He was in England and had long since passed I think when my mom was young.
Maternal grandmother-She came over here to live when I was in high school. She passed when I was around 23.
Paternal grandmother-she passed a year after I was born.
Paternal grandfather-I have such great memories of him. He died in his 90's by hitting his head on the dresser. He lived downtown by the old fairgrounds and he'd walk us to the neighborhood little store and buy us candy. One day we went to Lake Tahoe and walking up to the casino and he came up from behind us, swatted my mom on the butt with his cane calling her too old to be up there. He had taken the bus in his 90's. I'm not sure how old, maybe 5?

My mom’s dad passed when I was 8.
Mom’s mom passed when I was 19.

My mom´s parents and my dad´s father passed away before I was born. Grandma (father´s mom) passed away when I was 18 years of old.

It is interesting reading this thread, and I can't help but think - our first grandchild was born this year, I was 59 and DH 67. Hard to say how long we will be around, but this is the trend for women to have their first child in their 30's.

My maternal grandfather died before I was born.
My maternal grandmother died when I was 37. She was 102. We lived 3000 miles away from her and I only ever saw her a couple times in my life.
