How old were you when you got a myspace?

I am proud to say that I am 16 years old, almost 17, and I don't have one. Nor do I have any intention of getting one!!

no. It is my choice to go to those places and it is their choice to not go.

just because someone doesn't like something, doesn't mean it should be shut down.

My Space bugs me! I'm on facebook and DIS and that's all I need! The news isn't lying people haven't gotten messed up on My Space. I realize freaks are everywhere but there are a lot of nuts on there with the sole purpose of doing things they shouldn't. I understand why people are on there, most of my friends are, but just the couple of times I've been on there I've seen things I wish I hadn't. I'm not saying people that have My Space are messed up but just like any where there are people that are out to get you and having personal information on the internet makes you more vulnerable. If you do want to be on there my feelings are you should deffinitely be a teenager, any younger is pretty ridiculous, and you should be smart about it. I just don't feel like messing with it plus my mom won't let me go anywhere near it

I was just going through my CP and realized that I have just as much information here as I do on my myspace. I actually have more because my picture is here, too. People don't realize that their information is on other sites too and anything is possible; not just this site, but any other ones that they registered for.

I see all these comments about the dangers of myspace....do you not understand that life itself is dangerous, you really shouldnt live ur life hiding from things b/c there is the off chance that something bad could happen...i can understand not wanting a myspace but saying it should be shut down due to its dangers is like saying we should have a curfew for all americans in big cities b/c its dangerous to walk around at night or people shouldnt be allowed to drive b/c there are crazy drivers who might hit you...it makes no sense...stop listening to the media they extremly over exagerate things and dont tell the full details...kids who got raped or whatever b/c of myspace undoubtedly did something stupid which is their own fault

I got mine when i was 12 and left it blank until i turned 13 almost 14 now im on there all the time. it doesnt mean im a bad person or anything. my profile is private.

I only created it because a couple of my friends had and it was an easy way to talk to them out of school. I didn't put my picture in it (I have some other pic in there lol), didn't use my real name, didn't put my address, school or anything else like that. And, I put it on private. Heck, my e-mail address is even fake (proved a burden on me when I wanted to delete the space though lol.) However, all my "about" info. is true, heh...go figure.
