Hi,
We have been to WDW the last 3 years with the kids, but never have gone to see Fantasmic because we heard it was scary for young children. What is a good age for a kid to see it? My DD will be 5, DS will be 3.

Worst case scenerio DH and I are getting a babysitter because I am dying to see it!

Thanks::MinnieMo

I was nervous last year about taking our kids. They were 5,4 and 2. They loved it. Even the four year old who was scared of the Snow White Ride. Go figure! I had thought if it was too much for them we would just leave.

I think it depends on the child and how they are with loud noises and scary things. My son hasn't had a problem with it and he was 14 months his first time.

If you think it will be a problem, try sitting farther back in the audience so things don't appear as close to them.

It is a great show, I highly recommend it.

Have a great trip!

Nancy

Thank you both for the help!!!! Related question- do you think we should do the dinner/show package?

Thanks again!!!!

We took DD at 31mo and she liked it, except the loud parts. She also LOVES the villians so to her it wasn't scary.

We didn't do the dinner pkg in Feb and just got there early, but it wasn't full. We are going again Oct and will probably not get there as early this time.

A big yes on the dinner package for Fantasmic. When you have little ones it makes it so much easier not to have to stake out a seat hours in advance! Anything to make our life easier. Last year we did Mama Melrose's and enjoyed it. This year we're doing Hollywood and Vine because they only had 4:00 seatings for Brown Derby. Next year I'm determined to get the Brown Derby at a reasonable dinner hour.

My DD, now 5, saw Fantasmic the first time at age 1 1/2. She loved it! She has since seen it 5 more times and is looking forward to it next trip. She is a big chicken on a lot of things but she loves this show.
