DD will be 8 on our trip, and DH thinks she'll be too old to be wearing her princess dresses around the parks and to 1900 PF. I think that if anywhere, DW is the place she CAN. She doesn't know about our trip yet, but has asked me to make her a Minnie Mouse costume for her to play dress up in. I told her I would see what I can do about that - Mrs. Claus might make one for her ;)

Just wondering others' opinions on this matter, out of curiosity (and if I'm right, to back up my side of the argument - :lmao: ).

As of now, my 8 year-old will be going to BBB in May and will wear a princess dress at least to CRT. She may or may not want to wear a princess dress other days. I don't think 8 is too old. Here I thought you were going to ask about a teenager wearing a dress.

My daughter was NEVER into princesses when she was younger. She is a little more into the movies now though. For her Communion present, we are taking her to DW and doing the Halloween Party in September. As an extra bonus (and surprise) we are going to take the 3 kids to the bippity boppity botique and then to lunch or dinner at the castle. I was thinking it would be really nice if the two girls could wear princess gowns as costumes next year and then wear them again at the castle dinner.

So my long winded answer is YES she can wear them :)

Well, 12 is the age limit for Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, so I'd say around 12 is maybe when they get to be too old. I'd let her wear them as long as she gets excited about it. I'm with you, WDW is about the only place outside of Halloween that she can, so let her!

I thought I read somewhere that BBB had no age limit, that they would even do adults.....?

32. Unless they're a size 4.

There is no age limit for BBB, my daughter and I both did it on our first trip, and had so much fun! That being said, I didn't wear a princess dress like she did - thank goodness!!! :rotfl2:

Apparently there is an age limit now. Recently changed.

Actually this was recently changed. I think the cut off is now 12.

My daughters were 8 and 10 when we took them to BBB in March and they wore princess dresses around Epcot that day.

We are going to MVMCP on 12-4 and both of my dd's-- 8 and 11--are wearing Belle's red and gold Christmas dresses. Both of them are into the princess' so it's not an issue with us.

I have two daughters over a decade apart in age.

The older daughter, 16, is crazy about "tangled" and Disney in general. She had asked for an adult tangled dress for a Halloween party this fall, also thinking she could wear it to Disney in a few weeks. I had to think Disney would have some cutoff in age for dressing up. As my 16 year old is very attractive and has long blond hair (why she loves the movie), I would think she would end up attracting a meet and greet line as soon as we got in the park!

I will stick with allowing the younger one to wear her princess costume only.
