Bear with me,my head is spinning! I am taking my 4 kids plus a friend of my oldest to WDW in June.Originally,we were all going for a week.I thought it would be a good time for an extended stay since the kids are on summer break,(except for the 17 yo and her 18 yo friend who had to come back to go back to work.)No problem, I made resevations at POR (one room since that's all I thought we needed) Now the older kids can stay for the entire time but I can't get them a room at POR.I can only get a room at ASMU.Can I book a room there in my name since I have the AP but have the occupants be an 18 yo and a 17 yo??????? :confused3 I have no problem doing this,as they are both mature and are WDW veterans,I'm not concerned about them being disruptive or getting lost, they are wonderful young adults.Just wondeing if this is legal :confused3 Thanks for your help :earsboy:

Could you book two rooms anywhere? Such as book 2 rooms at ASMU or another resort? I would be very nervous of being that far away from my child (even at 17) with no supervision.

If you have your heart set on POR then I would keep calling WDW back for cancellations. I kept calling each morning before our last trip and finally got the room that we wanted.

Good luck!

I would also keep calling. Monday early is best, they dump the old cancels and free up rooms then.

I believe you can be 18 to check in at WDW. Mine did but I was standing next to him.

i was 18 when i reserved/checked into my own room, i did have my own cc.

i agree with the other disers though about trying to get a cancellation at por for the 2 teens or moving everyone to asmu since it sounds like a family vacation.

best of luck.

My DD19 and a friend went on college spring break alone this year (I managed to survive this!) and she checked in herself with her own AP. We had prepaid the room with our credit card. They had a blast. I don't think what you are proposing would be any problem.

You can reserve a room when you are 18 so this should be fine. I would not have had a problem doing that when DS was 18. Kids start college at 17 and 18 so I think that staying at a hotel away from you should be no problem. If you want them closer you can try for a cancellation at POR but if that does not work I would not worry about it. Have a great vacation!!! :daisy:
