How Often?

We plan a trip about every two years. Can't talk the hubby into it every year.

Asa'smom-Hey! We live in Athens. We drive down twice a year usually fall and spring break.

My DH would be ok with going every other year.

I would be ok with going every year.

My DM would like to go every 6 months.

My DS would like to live at Disney.

Obviously, we have to compromise.

Last year we went to DL twice, but only because DM and DD paid for all of us to go for Christmas.

We won't be going anywhere this year, but are planning to go to Disney in 2006.

Sigh! It will be a long year...

We love going every year. One year we took the year off because DD#2 was born in August and we always go in Sept. By the time the next year came I was going through so much WDW withdrawl that I was foaming at the mouth to get there. We just love going and every year we save something new to do so my children don't get bored. I guess you can say we are WDW addicts!!

We were going every year to values and moderates/took the DVC tour and one year off from all trips to pay the down payment. . .boy, that was a long, long, long, year. . .now we go twice a year!! Or once to disney and trade out the other week for anywhere in the world!!! Now, we have the best of both worlds!!

Thanks for all the feedback. I hope to go at least every 18-24 months. I love all the planning. In fact, I am obsessed with it!

We've been lucky enough to plan for every 4 or 5 years. When we went in '00, we decided we'd try for a cruise in '05 - so I put it on my Outlook Calendar at work and had it remind me one year in advance. However, when the 7 for 4 came out a couple years ago, there was no way we could pass it up! That was to be our longest disney stay EVER!
We "cheated" and tried Universal and Sea World last summer. After we got home, my reminder for my '05 cruise popped up. And while we still cannot afford a cruise, we will manage to get in a trip this May. But if we go back to our original 4 to 5 year schedule, this will most likely be our last trip with DS14. But oh, the fun we'll have when we're empty-nesters visiting by ourselves...
Well, maybe I'll try to talk DH into just one more trip with DS.
