How often does website update?

This is my first experience being waitlisted for our home resort. We didn't think we'd be able to go this summer, but turns out we can, so I didn't call for ressies until a few weeks ago. Couldn't get anything for the third week of August when we usually go, but I was able to get AKL for the last week in August and waitlisted for a 1BR at BCV. Of course I am compulsively checking the members website every day to see if our waitlist has come through. I'd love to try AKL sometime at a different time of year, but in the heat of August we love the pool at BCV and the ease of walking into Epcot and the whole beachy feel. Does anyone know how often the site updates - is it updated in real time or just once a day? I guess patience isn't a virtue I possess....

Reservations are updated in real time. I almost always am verifying when I'm on the phone reserving with MS.

The waitlist filling is completely by a person, not the computer, so they're not likely to happen at odd times like 2am.

I would also not rely completely on the waitlist. You might want to call periodically and check about the reservation again. There have been to many reports of people calling and things "suddenly" opening up. Good luck.

I've read of instances where people will cancel a reservation, someone will call immediately after and take that reservation while the people on the waiting list get skipped.

I think the cancelations have process across multiple systems before they hit the waiting list invetory check process.
