Just wondered. My van in a GMC Conversion full sized van in a silver color. You can go forever and it doesn't really look dirty.. But my new baby is a black convertible and if I don't wash it every day it doesn't look like I want it to.

By the way, what is a good product to treat the convertible top with? I have read about "Rag Top". Has anyone used this?

Dh takes my van through the car wash every other week or so.

As often as dh decides he can't stand it anymore...............

He washes his Jeep every weekend. And polishes the wheels, tires, dashboard.........vacuums..........

when the kids need a bath, just kidding. :rotfl:
My van only gets washed when it is nice out and the kids want to do it. Otherwise when it rains.
DH washes his about once every six weeks through the car wash but he has nicer wheels than me.

Every day?!? :scared1:

Oh my goodness. I was so glad when my kids were old enough to bathe themselves, I didn't even like washing them every day, I couldn't imagine washing a car every day. :rotfl:

It probably goes without saying, but I only run mine through the carwash about once every couple of months. If it hasn't rained in a while. :teeth:

I had a black truck once .............. never again. Sure looked nice when freshly washed, but looked like crap most of the time.

Presently I have a grey SUV and run it through a car (SUV?)wash every other week. I washed it by hand today as it was nice and sunny and cool here.

We have a black Saab and it always looks awful. Around here you have the pollen, the salt, the bird poop, whatever, all conspiring to mess up the look of the car. Also, we have the ongoing issue of people smashing their car door into the door of our car...recently somebody hit it our door so hard that the ding went down to the bare metal, urgh.

My neighbor has a black BMW SUV and she is out there every Saturday like clockwork, from 4:30-6:30 PM, washing and detailing the vehicle. Frankly, I don't get it. Your car is basically guaranteed to be destroyed around here, between the weather, the insane drivers, etc.

Just a few times a year. I keep it in the garage, and it's usually the interior that makes me decide it's time for the car to have a bath. :)

My car gets washed when it rains. :thumbsup2 As soon as it starts downpouring I pull the car out of the carport and let the car get rained on. If the wind is blowing hard then it gets powerwashed too. :thumbsup2

abotu oh, well, maybe oncea year?

my suburban hasnt had a bath in at least that long,,

the blazer gets washed every month, if i take it to the car wash

Every week. I love my red MDX and want it to look nice. I get a supreme wash inside and out every Friday. Once a month I get a mini detail. Every 6 months I get a complete detail. After having a minivan where no one cared what it looked like this is a big change for me!

I have an electric blue PT Cruiser and it gets washed about every 2 weeks.
