how often do you wash your bedsheets/bath towels?

We routinely get a fresh towel every 4 days but we don't do a load of laundry then luckily we have tons of towels.
sheets get changed 1X per week.

once a week for sheets, towels get changed every few days

For me, towels once a week and sheets every other week.

I was living in college dorms two years ago and if you ever want to feel better about how often you change your sheets, go hang out there for a little while. Two of my male friends did not change their sheets the entire semester!! Put 'em on in September, took 'em off to go home in December. Same for the winter semester- on in January and off in April.

I was about ready to march in there and wash the sheets FOR them.

 One of my guy friends did this too. He 'didn't know' he needed to change them. His mom always did it for him and he just never thought about it. When she came to pick him up for Christmas break the poor woman nearly fainted!

once a week for both....but we each have 3 towles on a rack....2 folded and one that stays open to dry out.....

My Sheets are washed every week. I use a clean towel every time I shower. My DH does not care where his towel came from as long as it is dry.

My sheets are washed every week and the bath towels are washed after I use it. My DH also doesn't really care how often I wash the sheets or towels, but I have a thing about fresh sheets and towels.

Sheets washed on Sundays, but possibly on Wednesday too , if I am in the midst of night sweats or after a night of loving LOL. Pillow cases for me might be changed almost every night. Dirty pillow cases aren't good for clear skin.

We all use a clean towel for each bath. So yup I am washing all the time and I don't care. Can't stand for stuff to build up in laundry basket .

No way am I changing sheets several times a day. ;) :rotfl:

You could stack them like I did on our DS's crib ... Mattress pad, sheet, mattress pad, sheet... any diaper accidents or as in your case , getting your love on several times a day :rotfl: then you just pull off the top set and VOILA... fresh clean set underneath LOL! ;)

I am kind of embarrassed to say...because apparently it is NOT as often as "the norm."

Talking with a group of women, and they were complaining about having to do laundry so often. Turns out they wash their bath towels every 2-3 days, and all the bedsheets in the house once a week. Not just "theirs" but also the kids towels and sheets, too.

I wash my bath towels once a week (I hang them to dry after I use them) and my sheets *gulp* once a month. I have a hubby and a chihuahua in bed with me, too! I may even wash my DD's sheets even less often. I will admit that.

Of course no one here knows me in real life, so you don't know that I keep my house neat, I have great personal hygiene etc. So if you wash this stuff more often, please don't judge me! My friends were surprised when I told them...of course I wonder if some of them aren't fudging their numbers a wee bit.:teacher:

Curious to hear the sheet/towel washing stats of the DISers!:thumbsup2

Hey, I'm just like you! :cheer2:

I do not think you are doing it wrong for you. Everyone needs to do what they feel comfortable with LOL

My one sister changes her sheets 1 time a month and her kids are 15 and 20 and she said she has no idea if they even have sheets on thier bed LOL.She is not married and has a cat that sleeps with her

My other sister says she changes them when they look or smell dirty ( ICK) Her kids are 7 and 9 and she changes them every 2 weeks . She is not married and has a big dog that sleeps with her .( she says she wont marry her BF because he gets traded and she doesnt want to keep moving the kids . I think it is cause she wont change her sheets till they stink LOLOLOLOL)

Me I am a FREAK I have OCD and I have it some what under control with Medication . So have mercy on me ok .... I change my sheets every 3 days and I only sleep on white so I can see if there is anything on them . Our cat likes to sneak up on the bed and I do not want her hair on me . Our Rottie likes to sleep with us and I change them the morning after he sleeps on the bed . If he sleeps with us 3 nights I change them 3 times.

I only have white towels for the same reason :rolleyes1 I do use them 2 times and then into the washer they go .

Ok go ahead discuss LOL  It is ok to laugh a little at me because my family does

My best friend is also OCD, and on meds! She's coming over to house sit for us while we're on vacation and I've been trying to clean up before she gets here.

Because I know perfectly well that she's going to clean while we're gone. Heck, she sometimes doesn't even wait for us to leave, before she starts tidying up.

But it's also what makes her a top-notch writing partner. :thumbsup2 Copy editors gush over how flawless our manuscripts are. :lmao:

My grandparents bought us our bed as a wedding present. DH told me several years later that my grandfather had a conversation with him about making sure he put a plastic sheet on the bed so I didn't ruin the mattress.

(I think he was referring to a potential "that time of the month" accident, but DH was quite uncomfortable. :upsidedow )

Yikes! You must be so busy.

To answer OP's question. I wash towels once a week and sheets...well that depends. Usually every couple of weeks. I love sleeping in soft, clean sheets, but I'm just lazy.
