How often do you think about Disney in a day?

Hi ~ we are 418 days away from our next trip and I am already planning; where to stay? when to go? how long to stay? where to eat? what to do? what to pack? how much weight do I need to lose? etc.,.

I think and talk about Disney all the time. My family is used to it and they have adopted the mind-set of "if you can't beat her, join her." So now they actually like talking about WDW.

My friends are a different story. Most put up with me and giggle. But they don't understand my love for everything Disney.

I don't think and talk about WDW 24/7, but pretty darn close to it! If something really time consuming is going on in my life, I tend to think about WDW less. But then when things are normal, I am back to thinking WDW! Even when I prepare for work and go to work I think about WDW because it's my paycheck that pays for Disney. When I don't feel 100% in the mood for work, I jus think DISNEY! Chat soon! S

The last few days I feel like I think about WDW non-stop but that is because we just decided on Friday to plan another trip. :)

omg! Becka, your baby is the cutest little thing!!!!!!!!!:D

SandraC, You are not alone! I eat breath and sleep Dinsney, I must think about it uncountable amount sof times a day!
Our home is Disney everywhere you look, everything, it is always on my mind! and there is alwasy a trip planned to countdown....

next one..... 33 days!!!!!!! :)

I know what you mean about family though... luckily dh is a disney fanatic too, but our families, I have to bite my tongue, they think we are nuts!!! :)

It's all fun!!!

Laura :)

I do the same thing...My friend and I call it "Disney Fever".
My family has joined in. We can walk outside and check the weather and imagine which park or ride it would be perfect to be at that day. Like if it is bright and sunny when you walk out, you may think of just coming out of the shop at pirates where it is bright and sunny and tropical.
It doesn't help either that all of my clothes have something Disney on them and that my house is decorated with Disney things...
I am glad to see that I am not alone in this.. :)

I think the Disney Think Formula is:

HE= #D X DV

Height of excitement level = Number of days left till your vacation multiplied by the number of days of your vacation.

Therefore, the less days you have till your vacation, the higher your excitement level, therefore the more you think of Disney...So In otherwards......Get used to it and have fun planning and preparing!!!!!

I think the more logical question is when do I not think about Disney ;)

Jules & I decided the other day that we can connect ANYTHING to Disney!

We tried naming random words...cow, couch, cloud, doll, fish and it all connected to Disney:D

I don't apologize for thinking of WDW constantly. My family has accepted it and won't turn down an opportunity to make the trip! Our trips are some of our happiest memories, and it gives me great pleasure to plan, and plan, and plan!

That's me, too! But I've got to start talking less about it to the three-year-old, because yesterday morning I was talking to her about seeing Mickey, and eating breakfast with Pooh, and she went to her room and started packing her clothes! She was ready to go, and didn't want to get in the car when we went out--she wanted in the motorhome!! No concept of time there!!

She loves WDW so much that when we got back last time and were watching our videos, she ran to the door to see if we were back and cried when she saw we weren't.:( (I know how she feels!)

My husband thinks I'm crazy!:D We were in WDW last Sept/Oct. and had a wonderful time, infact I'm planning our next trip for Oct. 2004, but hubby wants to try another vacation spot:eek: is there such a place? lol.

I'm pretty close to thinking about Disney 24/7!! LOL!! My family and friends think I'm crazy and don't understand it. But who do they go to when they want advice on a Disney trip?? Me!! My DH and my youngest DD like Disney like me, but are not as obsessive....but everyone else in my family thinks I'm nuts.

My SIL doesn't like it when I talk about Disney because she hates the place. She went there once in the mid '80s and hated it so much, she asked for her money back in the middle of her third day there and said they refunded the entire amount of her 3 day pass, which I couldn't believe they did this since she used 2 1/2 days of it already. I know they wouldn't do this today, though. She thinks the place is phony and fake and not real. But she is a very negative person and anything that I like, she doesn't. I've just learned not to talk about it around her. I've also learned not to say that I like something, because then I know that she definitely will have something bad to say about it.

But it drives me crazy that I don't have anyone to talk to (other than my family) about my obsession for Disney. No one at works understands it and they keep wondering why I go back, sometimes 2 & 3 times a year.

Even when I don't have a trip planned, I love Disney. Love to talk about it, read about it, dream about going...and since our trip is now just a few days away, I am practically in a tizzy. I didn't think we would be able to afford a WDW trip for a few years, but when we looked at the SoG prices, got cheap SWA flight prices, and planned our trip around the time we would get our tax return and my husband's bonus it was for real!!! Usually we go to DL once a year, but this is just a dream trip for us. We are both just so excited- I loved the math formula someone posted! Very clever and true!

DW and I think and talk about Disney all day long! We email to each other things we find on the web sites. We are going down in April and October...the April dinners and activities have been planned since just after Christmas and we are now working on October - we are going to renew our vows there and are going to do the MNSSH party for the second time. We have family coming with us in April and they can't believe we plan our dinners and get reservations before we go - how else do you do it? They all think we are crazy and need to go other places - really - where else is there??? Our wedding song was "A Whole New World" from Aladin and then went there on our honeymoon...we have been hooked ever since - since becoming DVC owners DW, DD, and DS are all obsessed!

Actually, I think that you mean to express this formula as:

HE= (365 - #D) X DV

Since the number of days left until your vacation decreases as you get closer, the old formula would decrease HE as you got closer.

Example: DV=7days #D=100

HE = 100 x 7 = 700

DV=7days #D=50

HE = 50 x 7 = 350

But with my formula:

HE = (365 - 100) x 7 = 1855 (at 100 days away)

HE = (365 - 50) x 7 = 2205 (at 50 days away)

See?

In actuality my HE = 3050

I have sixty days left.... So can anyone tell me how long I am going for?

And I thought I was alone! I'm so glad to hear that everyone else thinks like I think. Even in the shower, I'm imagining that I'm in the shower in the hotel. No one at work understands how I feel about WDW. They say, "don't you want to go someplace different, somewhere you've never been." I say, "absolutely not!" I love WDW. My DH is almost as obsessed as I am, and he is very understanding. My DD understands for the most part, but sometimes my DS gets tired of me "talking Disney." That's why I love these boards...we're all the same!:p

This just about sums it all up for me too!!

I definately think about Disney way too many times a day. Actually, usually the very day I return from a visit there I'm either planning the next trip or actually making the ressies for the following year.

My DH can't understand why I get so pumped up about WDW because I'm the fanatic in the family. He bought into the DVC just for me. My son who just turned 13 enjoys going, but like his dad, they don't get excieted about going until it's almost time. ( like the week we go!!!! )

Not me!! All year long I'm planning where to go, where to eat, what to bring, how much money this year do I need. It's all part of the experience and fun.

I'm very late this year; I'm going in August and I don't even have my itenery ready!!!!!! :)

WHEW! Thanks to all DISer's! It's good to know that I'm not the only one who thinks WDW most of the day! S

Wow! I thought I was the only one that did that!
If they have a cure for this, I don't want it!

We just got back last week, and going again in December.:wave:
