How often do you stay at your home resort?

We stay at our home resorts the majority of the time, although we sometimes tack on a couple of nights at other resorts if we decide to extend our trips. We've also recently booked Aulani for spring break, and we had no trouble finding the nights we wanted in the room and view type we wanted.

I will add that we just bought at VGF, and we plan to use those points only at VGF.

Our home resorts are BWV and VWL. We stay there most of the time; although we do stay at OKW (love those big rooms!) occasionally. And we've got a stay at BLT coming up in March '14. Next stay is BWV in October. :)

We originally bought into VWL since that was the only one that they were offering (12 yaers ago). We knew we preferred to stay at BC or BWV and were worried about getting in at the 7 month mark so we bought into BCthe following year. BC was available in our UY. So far, we have stayed at VWL once and primarily stay at BC. If we can switch at the 7 month mark, we sometimes go over to BWV. We spend most of our time at EPCOT so we love the proximity.

About half the time. I always make a BCV reservation at 11 mos if we are going to WDW. Then, switch it if possible. We only go once a year if that often and we'd like to try all the different resorts but we've only stayed at 5 I think so far.

This October, I really wanted to go back to BWV std view. I booked at BCV first then when 7 mo window opened tried to change to BWV std. I've only got 3 of the 7 nights so far. I've been WL'd since 7 mos out for the first four but I'm not counting on it. I cancelled my BCV reservation (made someone very happy I'm sure) and opted for a split stay. OKW 4 nts then BWV 3 nts then last night at the VGF! I've been toying with changing the OKW to AKV since we haven't stayed there yet, but I'm only changing if the BWV WL doesn't clear. Can't have points in holding.

We stay at our home resorts, VWL and AKV, more than half the time. We stay at SSR when nothing else is available, and it is very nice. Did treehouses years ago before it was SSR and loved those. Last year we tried a BWV 1 bd and liked it so much that we are now closing on a BWV resale. :cool1:

Tried a week at HH in March, 2003, and were very disappointed. Perhaps we picked the wrong season, as it rained all the time we were there. But were unimpressed with the amenities (or lack thereof). No restaurants onsite. Perhaps it has gotten better in the last 10 years.
