How Often Do You Shop?

Of course w/ the Holiday season here- most of us are shopping more than we might normally. I was at my mom's work the other day and the one lady was asking how many more times I might go shopping between now and Christmas (she had an ulterior motive) and I said I'll probably be shopping every 2-3 days between now and 12/23. I LOVE to shop.
Even during the non-holiday season I usually shop at least 1-2 times per week (not grocery shopping either). Even when I have nothing to buy- I window shop- which I say adds another 1-2 times on my list.
(The good news for anyone who thinks I might overshop. I don't have one single credit card--so I only buy what I can afford.)
I work w/ a girl who goes to a mall or retailer (Target,Walmart) pretty much everyday. So, how much do you shop???

I was going to post a similar topic last night,
What stores are owning you right now. For me it is Pottery Barn and Longaberger OH MY!! And thats not for Christmas gifts BTW, I was done before Thanksgiving. I go through phases, it must be cycles of the lunar calender or something because I will either buy nothing or EVERYTHING. Right now I am in a buy it ALL phase. As for Christmas I think I am done and then I remember I need just ONE more thing and it turns into a whole basket full of crap. Except for a trip to New Zealand I don't plan on any big vacations next year so that will cut back on shoppint I hope LOL.

I'd say I shop... almost everytime I work at my part time retail job! :rotfl:

After a year and I half I now own an entire wardrobe of J Crew clothing. Yeesh

Other than that, average of 1 time a week... I think :confused3

Shopping is entertainment for me. I shop every Saturday and sometimes on Sunday. I have no credit card debt. I'm mostly window shopping. Tomorrow I am meeting a friend for lunch at an upscale mall - what I consider an almost perfect day.

I'm lucky because my husband likes to shop too, so many times he goes with me.

My DH and I both hate to shop, so we always go together and try to make a nice afternoon of it -- catch a movie, or eat out beforehand. We go grocery shopping about once a week, or a BIG shopping trip to SuperW every two weeks.

For Christmas, he takes a day off about a week or so before and we make a nice day of it. I'll go out after that and pick up a few little things we missed here and there, but I truly hate Christmas crowds. People are so mean and nasty. I take a lot of joy in buying gifts for my family and it's SUCH a bummer to have to face nasty, sour-faced customers who are getting no joy out of the experience. Bah Humbug. Tis the season and all that.

I am in the stores probably every other day or so all the time. I usually forget something I need when I am out. I need to get better about making lists. Yesterday I went to the store and one of the things on my list they didn't have so I need to get to a different store today to get that. That is usually how it goes. I haven't done any Christmas shopping yet.

I shop at Target at least two-three times a week. Sometimes I just go in to browse, but I rarely walk out without buying something. Its even more tempting to go in now that Target has Starbucks onsite. :cool1:

I shop like you Kilee!! It is how I relax--which a lot of people find strange. I LOVE to get a coffee (Starbucks of course) and wander the mall. I get withdrawal when I don't go at least once a week.

Now I'll shop 3-4 times a week. After Christmas it's only on weekends.

As I have grown older, I have begun to hate to shop in big malls.

I prefer smaller malls, single stores, or online/catalog.

I generally go in & out within an hour or two at the most. No more day-long shopping sprees.

If I have to go to a mall, it's usually for one or two things, I go directly to the stores I need, get what I want & get the heck out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My husband is a pretty good shopper too. He doesn't mind going all day w/ me.

I usually go to the grocery store once a week. Since I have to drive 50 miles to Pensacola for most of my other shopping I go about twice a month. That's usually Wal-Mart and Sam's Club, then I'll go to one or two other stores like Hobby Lobby or Target. I probably only go to the Mall about every two months or so. If I lived closer I would probably shop once a week, but there have been times when it's been three or four weeks and then I really need a shopping fix. ;)

I like to walk through the mall and look around, but as a "night shift" person, the malls aren't open when I'm awake! So that leaves me with only WalMart and the grocery store. I have been fighting one virus/sinus infection/ear infection, etc, after another since Halloween, and I've started going to the grocery store a couple times a week on my way to or from work and getting just a little, so I don't have as much to carry in to the house and put away!

I HATE to shop! I used to love walking the malls and browsing, but I can't stand it anymore. I probaly will shop once a week for Christmas stuff. Grocery shopping I do one big one per week and probably pick up something everyday after work. (I work in the store)

I go to the grocery store about once every 2 weeks, and Target every 4-6 weeks (for paper products and health/beauty aids). I haven't been to the actual mall in a year at least. If we need something, we shop online. I really, truly abhor shopping, and I'm not a "stuff" person. I don't like bringing stuff into our house, unless we can consume it. I hate clutter.

We do go to Lowe's and Home Depot probably every week, but that's because we've been working on our house. I don't love those places any more than I love the mall

I used to end up at the mall every week but not lately. And one of the Marts at least a few times a week. Usually for stuff I need, sometimes just out of boredom. Being without a car the past month (in the shop for a new motor) has just about killed me. But even before my car was in the shop, I hadn't been shopping too much. Hey, it's fun to look though!
