How often do you replace your Laptop?

I've read that if you use your laptop a lot, it may need to be replaced every two years.

I'm still using a laptop I purchased from Dell back in September of 2008. It's a bit heavy compared to newer ones, but it's still ticking.

I just replaced mine, it was about 4 1/2 years old. I kept getting the blue screen, it wouldn't save into word, it was slow.

My 4 1/2 year old Mac is still going strong. It will need a new battery soon, but I have no plans to get a new computer.

I use my Toshiba lots and its 8 yrs old and still going strong. The battery decent last but I only run it off the mains anyway

I kept my MacBook for 3 years before replacing it with a MacBook Pro. It was in perfect working order, I was just wanting something more modern. Even being 3 years old, it really wasn't slow. The only time I could really tell the difference in speed using stuff like iMovie, the Pro really blows it up then.

I bought mine 4 years ago this month, and just *today* the battery decided to go kaput. The computer mostly runs fine, but of course, I run Linux on it now. :)

I usually kill, um replace mine every 2 years. I'm kind of klutzy where laptops are concerned.

I use mine every single day, all day. I have been using it for about 4.5 years with no issues.:confused3

I use mine hard, and I use it every day. I'd say that I replace mine every three years--I generally want updates software. I also have a Mac, and after three years the Apple Care expires, so it makes sense on that front as well.

I'm a heavy computer user and I usually get about 3 years of useful life out of any given computer, laptop or desktop, without doing internal upgrades.

I've had mine since 2008. It is way past time for replacement and I'm dragging my feet. I hate change, lol.

We are due for a new one as well. Before long we will upgrade to an Apple.

Depends on what you use it for.

Depends on what you purchased.

My current laptop is 5 years old but I have a warranty on all my computers through DirecTv and they will repair or replace if anything goes wrong. So I plan on having it for quite a while.

My last laptop I had for about 5 years as well.

PCs we run through every 3-4 years. I switched to Apple and this one I am currently on is 3.5 years old and still working perfectly (it did have some issues but thankfully it was under warrantee when it happened. I got a new battery, new charger, and a new hard drive.)
