How often do you paint?

We haved lived here 8 years and paint at least one room a year. I like to redo my girls rooms often.

Dd #1- her room has been bright blue, light blue, bright pink, grass green and is currently baby pink and wants to paint it red-maybe this summer.

Dd #2-her room has been lavendar, sky blue with a handpainted garden all around the room, orange and is currently bright pink

We have also painted every room three times with the exception of my bedroom-only painted it once- we will be painting our living room very soon as we are finally replacing carpet and furniture too!

We've lived in our house for 11 yrs and have painted each room a couple times... working on our kitchen's 2nd remodeling right now in fact.

For us, it gets very expensive though, because we live in an older house (1920's), and each time we start a room, it's a major overhauling, with ripping out paneling, patching plaster holes (some bigger than me, lol), and getting the walls smooth again. 3/4 of the house had paneling on the walls.

But both dh and I LOVE doing it, so we just wait till we know we'll have the money to cover all the supplies we need and go for it.

For our kitchen, we had originally remodeled it, repainted/wallpapered it, got new cabinets when we first moved in... now we finally got around to getting new flooring, so we're going to re-paint and do some touch-up remodeling before that gets installed.. really looking forward to seeing a new kitchen again!
