I'm just curious as to how often people vacation to Disney and where do you travel from. As a Florida resident and we try to go at least 4 times a year. We took the last year off from being APs because I was getting frustrated seeing rate hikes and construction walls were still up. We are renewing for January 2014 and looking forward to it :goodvibes I'm having serious Disney withdraws and I'm ready to comeback
The rates have seriously gone up. I'm guessing they arent really interested in FL ressies little weekend stays anymore and are focusing on these big once in a lifetime trips....:confused3 So I just wondering how often everyone travels and where from. :hippie:

You can see in my sig below how often we can go. My DH is a teacher and I am a professor so we have limited time to go-that means Christmas or summer!

We went for the first time in 2009 and we're going again in 2014, so that's 5 years. But we're only going in 2014 because we came into a bit of money and figured why not. If it wasn't for that money coming our way, we wouldn't even be thinking about it until sometime between 2016-2020 when our kids would be older.

Well, I went once when I was 12. Then my husband and I went last year, and decided to come again this year (we just got back) with our kids. We ended up taking only our youngest because the two older ones got into some pretty big trouble. We do have plans to return in a few years (hopefully with all three this time!!). My husband who was totally reluctant to go to WDW at all has realized that it is a pretty special place. He enjoyed it a lot when it was just us, but when we had our 7 year old, we both loved watching her discover things. On the plane ride home, she was holding her Minnie plush to the window and showing her the clouds and was telling her she couldn't wait to show her home. My husband turned to me and said, "Every penny was worth it for this moment".

We are from Nebraska.

We're from MA and we go at least once a year, last year we went twice because we took a trip over to Disneyland to check out Carsland (well worth the trip!!).

We had been going once per year starting when my daughter was 3. She is now 9 and last year and this year we have gone twice. We live in Indiana. We try to go on school breaks so she doesn't have to miss much if any school.

we are from Canada and we try to come once a year...over the past 11 years we have only missed one year. October 26th will be mine(39) and DDs(20) 10th visit. We sometimes visit with DH(32) & DS (13) but DD and I are the die hard Disney fans so sometimes we visit just the 2 of us (like this time). Can't wait 18 more days!! This will be our first visit during the fall so we are very excited about F & W and MNSSHP. This is also our very first time staying on Disney property and having the dining plan.

As often as finances and time off allow!!

I went to DL at 5, and WDW at 7. Fell in love with both, but we didn't have a lot of vacation $$ when I was growing up, so didn't go back to WDW until I was 18.

After DH and I married, we moved to FL for a year. He took me for my birthday while we lived there. 3 years later, one of our best friends lived in Orlando and invited us to come stay with her, so we did WDW for 2 days while there.

Once DD was born, our vacations there really took off. DD has been 8 times and she is 15. I'm sure she will go again before she graduates from HS.

DH and I are planning a trip now for our anniversary- it will be our first "mom and dad only" trip since DD was born. Very much looking forward to it!!

DW and I have been going once each year since 2000, but lately we have been going 2 to 4 times a year and we have also started Disney Cruising. :cool1:

We thought it was going to be an annual thing. We've been to Disney in October the past two years and have a trip planned for just over a week from now as well. Then SWW sucked us in and we took a short weekend trip for that in June. So that's 4 trips in 3 years. We live in Minnesota.

We went for the first time in 2010, and I immediately started saving for a 2012 trip. The 2013 trip was "last minute" and unexpected, and is only for a few days.

After that? Probably not for a while. As much as I love Disney, there are far too many other vacation locations I'd like to see. I've got my eye on Hawaii sometime in 2016 or 2017, and I'll want to save up a hefty amount so we can do it right.

we try to go 2x a year.. we're from NJ and usually drive! i need my disney fix

This will be my 10th trip in 23 years. I seem to average going around every 4.5 years. It will be my son's 1st trip. I don't see us making it back for another 4 years, sticking to my average.

Like some commented, when finances become available. BUT!! we at least now have a goal this time. Usually it was like, "oh, we have extra to spend. Lets go."
This time its," We have a date in mind, lets save up for it and make it happen!"

*play eye of the tiger to get pumped up*

>:D

I'd like to try to make it down when each kid is 4-5 years old. We're from Michigan.

We live in Alabama, and go once every 2-3 years. We usually do 9-10 park days, though this year, we're settling for 8 due to DS15's school schedule.

Every summer for the past 10 years plus a couple other trips to drop off and pick up DD and DS from Disney College Program. We're from Illinois, home of the Mighty, Mighty Chicago Blackhawks! :)

We went though a big lull where we didn't do for years. But as of recently we're trying to go at least once or twice a year! We're from Toronto, Canada.
