I am growing mine out so I get it trimmed about every 6 or 8 weeks.
As a rule of thumb if you are trying to maintain a style then you should cut every 4 6o 6 weeks.
<font color=navy>Last time I went to get my hair cut was in summer of 2001. Every few months I bend over, brush it forward, twist it, & cut off about 1.5-2 inches myself - it goes down to my lower back. I also cut off my own bangs. I don't even color it because then I would have to go to the salon. When I get enough gray to bother me I'll start going.
My dd, on the other hand, turns 14 in March, so I will take her down to get her hair styled and give her a manicure & pedicure, and get her on a different tract than I am.
I am so bad about making hair appts....... I had long long hair for a long long time because I hated to have to go in every other day (which is how 4-6 weeks is to me) to get it cut...... So my hair goes from short and neat to shaggy and in my eyes before I ever call to make an appt..........
Once every 6 months, if I don't talk myself out of it. I haven't found anyone that I really like to cut my hair that I'm comfortable with, so I just go to big salons and have to wait forever. I don't like to wait, so I put it off. Or I do it myself.
i thought i was the only one who likes the feel of getting a cut. i'm not a big fan of people playing with it though. anytime my mom walks by me, she flips my hair. it drives me crazy but she's like "it's so soft."
my hair is growing out, but since it is almost all even now, i get it cut about every 2 months. i could probably go less often since i don't have bangs, but my hair is thin and straight so it annoys me when it gets long. i like keeping it about chin length.
