How often do you clean your walls/ceiling/woodwork?

I made the mistake of looking up today...lots of cobwebs and dust up there! :blush:We have high ceilings, so not easy to reach, and I guess, out of sight, out of mind!

I don't clean those areas nearly enough...and it got me to wondering how often other people clean theirs?

Cleaning people do them every two weeks. My son is allergic to dust so it's important.

Funny you should post this! I'm currently taking a break from "Spring Cleaning" my bathroom. I'm washing walls and ceilings! The office is next!

I dust my baseboards weekly, but my walls only get a good washing once a year.

I dust mine, but I never actually scrub the walls. I'm afraid it would scrub the paint off.

When I look up and notice how bad they are. :)

I do my baseboards at least every 2 weeks. I shoot for once a week.

I haven't washed my walls yet as the house is just over 1 yr. old. I supposed they need it.

I sweep off my baseboards when I sweep the floors around them. I clean the cobwebs etc when I see them. Now honestly I didn't know you were supposed to wash your walls:confused3. What do you wash them with and does it mess up your paint?

I walk around with my magic eraser every couple of months to get dirt off of the doors, walls, etc. Is that what you mean by washing the walls? I run the vacuum attachment around the woodwork and blinds once a month, but run a duster around them halfway through the month. Two times a year, I climb on top of my kitchen counter and clean the very top of my kitchen cabinets.

I don't wash my walls...I used the vacuum attachment to suck the dust off of them. Our house is OLD (101 this year!) and has sort of funky, textured walls...not the kind that hurt you when you touch them, but not smooth either. Dust likes to collect on them, up at the top near the ceiling.

I also use the magic eraser on the woodwork, but not as often as I probably should. I also don't dust all the baseboards as often as I should. I do vacuum and swiff the hardwood nearly every day (shedding dog!!!).

So, if you come to my house, it will look and smell clean...just don't look up, or use your white glove on the top of my woodwork! :rotfl:

Another old home here with high ceilings. I use an extendable duster to run over the walls maybe 3 or 4 times a year. I use a magic eraser to clean dirt on the walls. I only wash entire walls when I'm getting ready to paint (which will be very soon.)

It seems like all the time! I have a little boy, so I get little boy handprints and scuff marks a lot.

As far as using the swiffer on the walls and ceilings, maybe once a month or once every couple of months.

I usually vaccuum the baseboards and ceilings every other week. Walls get a good washing every other month. This spring, I need to go through and do some touchup painting on some of the walls. I noticed there are a good many scuffs and chips the last time I cleaned them. Thankfully, most of those are hidden!
