Today when we made adrs we were able to get everything we wanted however the reservations person said our group may be seated at 2 tables. How often does this happen? We are a group of 6 so we aren’t a ton of people.
Thanks!
These are our places are any of these likely to split us up. We are all adults except one 15 year old this trip and on past trips were pretty obviously 2 parents and 3 kids so we always ended up together.
50’s - 6:35 dinner
Norway-2:35 lunch
Raglan Road 5:35 dinner
Character breakfast at Boardwalk 7:35am
Yachtsman 7:55pm dinner
Ohana 5:55 dinner
Tusker house 10:30 breakfast (group of 4)
Yak and Yeti 11:15 lunch (group of 2 won’t be split)
Be Out Guest 6:05 dinner
Sci Fi 11:10 am lunch

I'm wondering how many can sit together at Sci Fi.

I know there are cars and it certainly isn't 6 across. But if it is 3, you would be one group in front of the other. If it is 2, then you would be 3 groups, one in front of the other.

That seems really odd to me. Check your MDE and make sure they didn't make an ADR for 16 instead of 6. I can't see any scenario where you would be seated at two different tables, and if they did, I would most definitely fight the automatic added gratuity since you weren't even at the same table.

I believe the cars have 3 seats of 2 each, so they'd still be in the SAME car which would be the same as one table. There are picnic tables too, but not sure how one goes about requesting to sit there.

Yes, three rows of two seats each. If you prefer one of the round "flying saucer" tables in the back, just ask when you get there. Most people prefer the cars, so the round tables might be fairly easy to get, although there are just a few of them.

We were a party of 6 on our last trip. Out of the restaurants you listed, we dined at Raglan, Bon Voyage breakfast, Ohana, TH, and Sci Fi. We were sat together at every restaurant, including several that you are not going to as well. For Sci Fi, we had a car for 6 to ourselves, with a set up of 2 in front, 2 in middle, and 2 in back. There are round tables at the back that are typically used for walk ups, but you can request them- most people just don't want them since they're not the cars and I don't believe there are seat backs. There are also a couple of cars that have table seating where you'd sit sideways to the screen, facing the rest of your party. Those are generally reserved for people who request them, or those with wheelchairs or who need a highchair as those can't be accommodated at the booth cars.

The only slightly awkward seating we had was at the Bon Voyage breakfast. We were sat at a half-circle booth that has room for one chair as well. 5 of us didn't fit very well in the booth portion so we had to ask for a second chair to be brought over. The chairs are rather large, so it was still really tight trying to fit both at the open part of the round booth, but we made it work. We would have asked for an actual table, but they were pretty busy and we didn't want to wait longer.

The PP is correct that there are no seat backs to the benches at the round tables in the back of Sci Fi.

I think they say that almost every time. It may have even been mentioned once when I made a solo reservation. I'm positive I heard it when making reservations for four. Never split. Now, reservations for twelve (CRT) and 25+ (Boma), yes. Two tables at CRT, four of five at Boma.
