Forgive me this is going to be long. 2 weeks before our stay at POR I had the missfortune of breaking my ankle at work. So not being able to walk around WDW I made arrangements with Care Medical for a 3wheeled ECV for the week. After the Autotrain arriving 8 hrs late we made to POR just in time 2 check in and the take the bus over to Epcot to transfer to Fort Wilderness for dinner at the Hop Dee Do revue. The ECV was at luggage at POR just as requested. Dinner was exellent as was the show. We made it to Mk just in time to see the fireworks ride a couple of rides with the DW, DD#1 [10] and DD. #2 [8] and see the 11pm parade. So far not to bad. We awoke Monday at 5:30 went to the food court to find that you can only get muffins or bagels until 7. So much for EE with a hot meal to get you going. It was 8 by the time we finished eating. So forget EE. We did Epcot instead Tuesday. We did Mk EE on Tuesday no problems. Wensday I convinced the DW and kids to get up so we could do EE at AK we got to the bus stop at 7am. The 1st bus was full the driver said another bus was coming and would pick us up. About that time a 2nd fellow showed up in a cart and he and his family were going to AK also. The 2nd bus showed up and said he couldn't take us he would have an empty bus dispatched to get us. 3rd bus shows up said he couldn't take us, but that a bus was being sent. by the time we loaded on the bus drove to BB then onto Ak we arrived a 750. After disenbarking I asked to see the dispatcher. A gentleman showed up said he was the dispatcher at AK. He stated there was nothing he could do and that I should go to customer relations at the front desk when we return to our hotel. By the time we entered AK it was 815. We waited to go on the Safari Ride then we went around to get fass passes or stand in line fer Exp. Everest wait time was 3 hrs. standby fast passes were out. We did dinosour, the lion king show, lunch, the kids did primevil whirl and we called it a day. Back at the resort I went over to guest services and asked to register a complaint. The cast member at the desk was helpfull and called transportationon the phone. While talking on the phone the attendant looked at me and said she was to tell me to wait till I got home and write a letter. Talk about a lousy way to be treated. I asked her to speak to that persons mananger. After giving my name room # and cell phone number I was told a mananger would contact me shortly. No call was recieved that night we got up Thursday did MGM still no call. Stopped at guest services upon return to the resort and asked to speak to a resort mananger. I explained the whole story and the Lady who assisted me Wed walked by and veriried how I was treated on the phone. The mananger said he would have some one contact me that night. upon arrival in our room there was a message that there where a couple of passes left for us at the front desk, the call was left at 830 am that morning. We were to leave the next morning at 3 am to drive back to Pa. for Easter if the Autotrain wasn't running since it had been shutdown for 2 days So we were going to call it an early night by the time we found out the train was going to run the kids were ready to go to bed so no use for the passes. Fri morning I called and left a message for the transportation mananger. He call about 10 minutes later as I started to explain the story he said to me that if we had wanted to do AK early entry we should have been on the 630 am bus not just starting to go at 7am. I asked him if it should take an hour to get from a Disney resort to AK, he said no. he said that there had been passes left for yesterday. I told him by the time we found out about the passes the day was over for us, and so was our stay. His last statment was he guessed there was nothing he could do for us. For a corporation such as Disney who is supposed to be the leader in customer service it goes to show you just how they really feel about those of us stupid enough to spend the money on staying at a Disney Resort. Just fork it over, shut up, enjoy what we've done for you. This was about the 12th time since our honeymoon that we've done Disney in 16 years of marraige. According to my DW it will be a long time till we go back. I was hoping that with the change in manangment at the top it would get better coming down the ladder I can see I was wrong.
