Im leaving in a few weeks and Im starting to freak a bit. How much cash does everyone bring with them to WDW? Tickets and hotel will be paid for prior to arriving. I will have a check card for table service and counter service eating. Also am planning on bringing a credit card for souviners and such. But how much cash should I bring with me and how much to should I have on hand daily in the parks? There will be only two of us for the 8 days that I need to plan on $$$ for. Help! TIA.

DFi and I usually bring around $1000 with us. We have DVC and annual passes, so we don't usually have to worry about park entry and hotel stay. We also purchased Disney Dining Experience for our last trip - definitely well worth the money because we enjoy doing sit downs. This trip, my future father in law spent a lot of time with us and we picked up the tab for him and a couple of souveniers for him as well. All told, we spent $980 so we did pretty well for ourselves. We were there for 8 days as well. HTH.

We (two of us) put everything on credit (to get the points) and pay it when we get home. We generally have about $100 in cash for the week, and usually bring half of that home with us. Mickey bars, and some fruit is all we need to use cash for. Even at the wine and cheese in Epcot, they have the machines right in place for cc's, and it goes quickly, since you don't have to sign for anything under $25.

We bring (and spend) almost no cash. Everything goes on our room card, then to the Disney Visa, and the bill gets paid when we get home. We use cash for cabs (we take a lot of cabs and probably spent $100 on cabs), tips (nominal, probably $20 for the bellhops, ME drivers, cabbie tips would be included in the cabs), and kids spending money ($25 each).

(Don't ask about the Visa bill).

Yep, 100.00. Remember to continue to use your Disney Visa down there to earn points.

I am taking 500.00 with us for 6 nights and 7 days. We are on the meal plan so I don't plan on spending much on meals. I think right now I have to buy 2 out of pocket.

The money is for:
airport porters and food
mousekeeping
Sovienors for me and B. We each get one thing we really want..75.00 a piece to spend.
Universal for DS -- 80.00

Money is divided
200.00 Travel checks
200.00 Disney dollars
100.00 cash

About $100 - we've charged everything from airport parking, taxis and souvies. The cash is for meals at the airport, tips for bell services and sky caps, and little incidental purchases (like forgotten toothbrushes or snacks from the gift shops).

4100 sounds about right. You just need it for tips and snacks and stuff.

We spent about $200 for four people 8 nights (10 days) in cash. Much of that could have been on our room card or a cc/debt card. The only thing I can think of that has to be cash are tips for bellhops and such. I like to tip servers in cash too. With snacks on the dining plan they had to add card readers everywhere. We didn't run into a single place (cart) that did not have a reader for the room key or a cc.
